I used a sling loop that showed slight fray and was removed from crane use at work 🤷♂️

That sounds like a good idea. Slight fray for a crane but will beyond hold any bodyweight.

@@soledude59 If that's the case you may need to find a different thickness of towel and experiment. You can also do these in an assisted style with your feet resting on a chair and really focus on the grip motion. Then it won't be as heavy on your fingers.

How did you build the pull up bar in the rock?

I found the flattest part on the ground, raked it out flatter, and then just set the bar stand on top. I added some sand bags and cinder blocks on the base to hold it down for muscle ups. Still rocks a bit though. Other than that it's a solid outdoor workout.

If you grab a bar or a towel, you're still lifting the same weight. Why does the towel matter. Your grip on the bar needs to be the same strong, yea?

The towel just is not a solid and sturdy grip like a bar. If I'm having an off day, it can sometimes be quite a challenge to just hold on. You gotta give the exercise the old college try and see how it feels in person.

Try giving the towel a twist so it doesn't give or rip. The point of doing that it's to simulate your grip in a judo, jiu jitsu or any king of grappling situation. If the objective it's for lifting weights you're right on point. It's better to use the bar.
