Tower Board - The Series (Part 3)

In this series, I will let you follow my process of building a Mordheim gaming board almost in real-time!!
It's not a tutorial in a strict sense of this word - more a simple timelapse.
There is no commentary, no unnecessary cuts. All the video material I have managed to record (in chronological order) gathered in one (hopefully) coherent piece of footage.
EPISODE 3:
I'm continuing the process of building with the second (high ground) tile.
The same materials were used as in my previous videos.
My main focus here was to reinforce the ceilings above the tunnel and cellar's entrance. Those spots are the most fragile places on this part of the board and I didn't want to worry about any of it later on.

2.Those are some of my first recordings (made quite some time ago and at the beginning of my road to understanding the complexity of this process).

Great stuff, I would love to see if you have some sketches or lay out planning on paper beforehand to get a better view on why and where you put things. Like your walkways and roads etc, for modularity. I'm also wondering, do you treat your ply or mdf boards with something before putting everything together or after? If so with what and how? Also, would love to see how you make the casts and moulds! Cheers man great job.

Thank you!😊 I will work on it - maybe there will be an Episode 0, where the whole plan is explained. Thanks for a great suggestion! For sure I will show the 3D project on Instagram. I’m only priming it with spray paint when the whole board is build. No special treatment. I’m just trying not to over soaked the MDF with water or PVA before it’s primed. That only thing! Mold making video was in plan but I have had a small technical problems (silicon was to old and it didn’t go as planed). But maybe I can do a video on how not to make molds!😉

​@@msterrainlabEp. 0 sounds amazing, a reason to make a prequel already! Looking forward to the 3D project images. Ill post some of my board as well. What spray paint do you use? Something that doesnt eat xps? Would be fun to see silicon vid but maybe make one where you show how to instead of what happens when its too old, might be fun tho. I am using blue-stuff (thermoplastic) to make moulds atm, so when I have a few masters I will try to make from silicon RTV.

Thanks! Will totally do it😊 Just need to wait a bit longer with it (some changes in the overall layout maybe will be required and I would like to included it in Episode 0). I have posted some of it (3D model) in my ING stories already - as a test to see how it looks. Looking forward to see your board!!😊 I’m using a “regular” (cheap) spray paints. I’m always covering all the exposed foam anyway soo there is no need for extra precautions. But if you planning to build out of XPS foam then I would totally recommend something that will not melt it. Of course you could use PVA (or something similar) to protect it, but it’s taking an extra time. Yeah was thinking the same. Just need to order new silicon rubber and it will take a time. I’m also using blue stuff. It’s great for smaller bits!! But it’s also possible to make some more complex things with it (once I have copied a whole crypt horror- except the arms, from GW for my undead army!) 😎
