This is not spoiler, it's just some information since they cut it in anime. So u see when black march soul talking to bam "you wish for the strength to climb the tower". In manhwa it's actually longer. +Black march said "Precious jewel and gold, magical fruit, heavenly beauty, and the taste of power and glory. What is that drive you to go up to the tower amongst all that" -Bam said "rachel" +Black march confused an she asked bam "Rachel ? What is that? A jewel? A power ? a position? Or a name of the most beautiful girl? -Bam answer "no, she is my friend. I used to spend my time with her. She is not as marvelous as a jewel, and she is not the most beautiful girl in the world. She is just a tomboy who makes a joke and sometimes lie to me. But... She is the most precious person to me *if i can just find her* I don't need to go up the tower" After that the black march looking at him like somehow confused, because she doesn't get it, why would someone risk his life for something like that. But because of that reason too she is interested on bam and choose to help him. Yep this is just a little thing, but for me this is important. This line indicates how much bam love her, and how sweet and innocent he is. So yeah i hope they will meet again and be HAPPY soon.

Dude, it's good that you care for this show and have deep insights for it. But, personally, i don't think there's a need to make this exposition. This is just the first episode and this is animated. Animé has its own way of delivering these messages, while the manhwa of course needs "words" to deliver them. And besides, the reactors might read the manhwa also out of their own curiosity. But if everyone is like you commenting these things, then it really kills that bit of "curiosity".

Personally, I'd rather spoil it for a few people if it meant letting people know Bam isn't a "simp" chasing some...THING...up the Tower for a reason as simple as he "loves" her. The way the "anime-only" people are describing the show is exactly like that: a simp chasing a girl. That might turn some people off while reading comments like yuda Dicki's might make them give it a chance...it works both ways.

the anime also skipped the dialogue between yuri and evan before they met bam, explaining why they showed up out of nowhere. they happened to be in a floor not too far away from the 1st floor, and evan being a navigator noticed that an irregular had just entered the tower. yuri being immediately interested that such a rare occurrence happened next to her immediately rushes to the 1st floor, with evan complaining throughout since they shouldn't meddle with the low test floors. yuri excited of what to expect of the irregular imagining what kind of monster he'd be since other known irregulars like phantaminum and urek mazino are apparently on another level. after that they meet bam.

The manhwa has a vast world and the building of that world is masterful! For the most part you will follow Baam, but there are so many characters and indepedent actors with their own unique goals and reasons for climbing the tower. Indeed, story-telling wise and world-building wise this is gonna be a hell of a ride! Enjoy guys!

@@jjdixon8563 the problem with that however is that they're already skipping a lot of crucial information, even in the first episode. Most reactions I've seen so far, videos and comments alike, ask the same questions... "What are irregulars, and what's so different about them?" some of that was covered by Yuri and Evan, but not shown in the anime so far. "where did Yuri come from, suddenly falling out of the sky like that? Why would she help Bam?".... Again, this was shown in the story but not the anime so far. The anime made it look like Haedon does the bidding of jahad, though he's the oldest and most likely, most powerful of all the guardians, which does not serve a lowly man like jahad... I agree with you, the art in season 1 was... For a lack of a better term, "ugh". But at the very least the story itself counters that to some degree. People should read it.

some things that should have been explained more . so there are these kind of people who are called regulars they are average ppl and there is the irregular who have an incredible ammount of power (the irregular are not just rare there are is almost none ) both the regular and the irregular aim to climb up the tower , princess yuri when she found out there was an irregular she gone down the tower to see him with her navigator evan . as they came in they found that bam doesnt understand them which is headon's fault because he should of gave him a pocket (a low lvl one) , because he didnt gave him one yuri had to give him an A rank pocket .i think that is all that should have been explained more . i hope you enjoy the story it is awsome

also as briefly explained in the episode, the difference between a regular and an irregular is that the latter has managed to enter the tower by themselves. normally it's possible the tower may reject your entry, or if you're allowed entry you become a regular.

A few cannon corrections: yuri and evan where watching bam before she jumped down. Yuri felt someone entering the tower through the gates (an irregular) and ran to watch. Without that scene it comes out of nowhere when she jumps down. Headon was supposed to give bam a pocket but intentionally didn't. The black march is a needle, not a sword (a needle is the basic weapon in the tower). Evan/yuri tell bam the black march is an ignition weapon (a weapon with a soul) as he borrows it. The eel is swimming in shinsu. Bam's flashback while he tries to break the ball missed his inner thoughts of how he was all alone in that dark cave. He made a tower of rocks to reach the light in the ceiling and thats when rachel comes down. The black march asks why bam wants to climb the tower: money? Power?... he says rachel. The BM asks what is that. A treasure? Position of power? Or the most beautiful woman? Bam says rachel is no beauty or special. she is his friend, a tomboy who even playfully lies to him sometimes and is everything to him. THAT answer is what makes the BM help bam. Finally, after headon is alone, he turns around and says: did you see that? The boy went up. What are you gonna do... miss?

Obviously, there was stuff cut out from the Webtoon which explains things more, like Irregulars and the names of some other Irregulars, some phrases that are important later, and other details, but it was still really good despite the fast pacing. It covered what it needed too. I like that a lot of the exposition was cut out because it felt more mysterious this way and more opportunities to peace things yourself. Like how just by listening to Yuri talk about Bam and him being an Irregular you can figure out that Irregulars are people who manually open the gate to the tower and are usually super strong.

Looks like first episode is called "Ball" and it starts out with a girl saying that she will climb the tower before she disappears. A strange creatured named Headon (caretaker of the tower apparently) introduced himself and we got the main premise going. I think the design of the tower looks fascinating with the unique art style. And interestingly enough, the MC is thrown into a setting with rules and mysterious creatures. Pretty interesting start imo. Kevin Penkin is also doing the soundtracks for this show and it's fantastic.

Aot does everything better. Better writing, better action, better character development, even better twist( and that's ToGs biggest strength), better drawing( both were trash in the beginning but Aot covers way more details). If you like ToGs Genre or World more it's up to you, but you can't deny Aots greatness. I can't deny that Aot is a better manga than HxH or ToG, even with my profile picture and name.

Yass i’m a fan of both TOG and Stray Kids. I’ve been reading the webtoon for so long and also stan Stray Kids sooo I’m glad you like the OP song. ED song is soooo great as well (I prefer ED to OP) Ps. Stray Kids is a k pop band who made OP and ED songs. They are involving in writing, composing, arranging processes. Edit: There are many good Korean webtoons (but they’ve just started to make an animation from those webtoons soooo it’s not surprised that you don’t usually look into Korean anime much.) For me, TOG and Solo leveling are my fav.

Watched a couple reaction videos now but I think I like yours the most. You two seem pretty sharp on picking up all the information thats thrown at you, I like that! If you like the art already take a quick glimpse at early and current chapters of the manhwa, just to see what we might be up for. Those improvements are really huge. You also can be reassured to not miss any of that fabulous world building (= mystery feeling) in the future. The world building and story telling are probably ToGs strongest suites. Just make sure to not get over hyped too much. Expections can destroy everything, even the most beautiful gems ;)

Dude, this did the manhwa waay more than just justice. The pace is insane like 6 or 8 chapters in this one episode. The animation is nice nice, loving what they did with the artstyle. From seing this amazing anime adaptation, i really wish solo leveling gets an anime. Solo leveling may be the only other manhwa or manga that i know surpassing tower of god.

its not animated but if you wanna branch out read solo leveling. Its so freaking hyped, a one piece streamer recently started streaming read troughs and his numbers exploded so many people love that series, im sure you would too. Not much deep plot but some amazing action and stunning art.

there is more than 135 floor on the tower, but only 134 floor has been conquered, from then the floor guardians are too hostile, all those climb to 134th floor (where king jahard reside) will become ranker (there is more than 100000 ranker, with 1000 at top of the list is high ranker), king jahard (rank 3 high ranker), baam, rachel, urek (rank 4), and 10 family heads of 10 most powerful noble houses of jahard empire are irregulars (therefor yuri ask wether if baam can change the tower, because that what irregular bring, a great change to the tower)

This is on par with Hunter x hunter / One piece / bleach , the world building & lore is absolutely amazing and something new you haven’t seen in shounen anime , tons of amazing characters & huge mystery’s ( The art style is looking bit slugish because the early chapters were rough by the author but the Art has drastically improved !!! ) and fights are amazing epic!!!
