tremor package must weight a ton that the same weight as my 2011 steel body hopefully my 24 stx cclb with 4.30 7.3 weight around 7100 but we will see i pulled the trigger curt crosswing is only about 80 lbs 5th hitch well worth the money remove tailgate , use 5thwheel tailgate , that tailgate cost around 2k i know and take spare tire off when hooked up to camper and mount it on the rear of the 5th wheel that should lower your weight to around 7200 to 7300 with full tank and your weight driving

The wife wanted a Black truck so we swapped this Carbonized Gray Godzilla for an Agate Black F350 Platinum Tremor Power Stroke Diesel with a Marsala Leather Interior. I pulled this same trailer now with both trucks and I'll tell you, YOU WILL NOT REGRET getting the Godzilla - its a BEAST! I only get a few more MPG's with the diesel and it tows as nice as the 7.3 Gasser.

How would you compare the XLT seats to the Platinum seats on longer days? I am eyeballing the XLT but was not sure if the seats will be uncomfortable for the wife when we drive 10 hours to Colorado.

@@marcochavanne Comparable however my Platinum has massaging seats and in addition to being heated, they also ventilate. Massaging is a bit of a misnomer though. There are about 7 air bladders of which 3 in the seat backs are adjustable. The other 4 are in the lower seat. The massaging function inflates and deflates each of the 7 areas in sequence, rather slowly. You don’t get a vibration but more of a push/fill and relax/deflate from each air bag. It does help with the circulation so you don’t get a tired rear end. I use them on the longer drives often. The XLT’s “cloth” seats are the very durable plastic feel seats that Ford has had for a long time. Very similar to my old 2009 F-150.

thanks what mpg at 59 mph . i just pulled the trigger on my 24 f350 stx cclb 7.3 4.30 , i hope it snatch the axles out of my 37 foot fifth wheel 3100 pin weight 16900 lbs trailer weight going from 2011 f350 6.2 with 4.30 cclb . going to love the 48 gallon tank vs 35 . at 59 mph i average 8.5 with high of 9 mpg with my 6.2 in 6th gear . what gear are you in at 59 9th or 10th? ill have stock 275/70r18s , i think ill just lock out 10th and do 9th . good video you help me decide when you hit 40 David

Out here in Utah, the speed limits are 70-80 MPH on the interstates. If I drove 59 MPH, I'd be impeding traffic LOL. My Trailer's tires are rated for 87 MPH so I keep it around 70 most of the time while towing. Also, the F250 Tremor's use the Rear Axle and leaf springs from the F350 so they do weigh more. Godzilla typically stays in 8th gear while cruising and towing.

Thanks. I had a 1994 F-250 XLT (w/ the 460 V8). I loved that truck. I keep thinking about getting another one. Mine also got 5 mpg city / 14 mpg highway. Guess that much hasn't changed. Hauled ALOT of hay & water w/ that truck. Central Colorado, elevation 6,600 - 9,000 ft.

Update! This 7.3 gasser is a beast. Pulling this 12k pound, 36’ fifth wheel and it has all the power I need and then some. I don’t have to mess with all the emissions and higher maintenance costs. I also tow only 5-6 times a year so it’s only then that I have to use more gas. 13.1 average MPG’s unloaded. Fifth wheel I’m averaging 9 MPG’s- 11 on the flats and 6 on a grade. I’ll take that!

My 7.3 f350 does great with my 8k lb fifth wheel. Wanting to upgrade to a 12k dry fifth wheel, but a little scared

Does the tremor package come with the 1 ton springs in the rear even though it has a gross vehicle weight rating of 10000

Yes my F250 has the rear axle and leaf spring packs from an F350. They did this for added height/ground clearance. Unique to the Tremor Packages for the F250 and F350 is the Tow Rating for conventional trailers of 15,000 pounds max. I believe this is due to the taller ride height, taller sidewall on the 35" tires and lack of a rear sway bar and a thinner front sway bar.

@@JeffStoker we have the F250 (non tremor) and looking at a similar set up, 10-12k lb 5th wheel. Our payload capacity is 3082lbs.

@@saltytrips Pulls like a dream! We had a 5400 pound conventional trailer that wagged both my F150 and this F250. That old trailer bounced me around so much. The Fifth Wheel is almost like its not even there. I don't feel like the engine is straining or working hard at all.

👍👍👍 I have a 2022 XLT 4WD CREWCAB traded in a 2013 F450 cab/chassis 6.7 diesel derated just broke 100,000 miles and cp4 pump to a crap cost me 9000.00 to do myself,At that point I was DONE WITH FORD DIESEL BECAUSE they still use Bosh pumps My Godzilla pulls my 2022 Dunesport toyhauler fully loaded 26ft 13800 bumper pull At 8.9 mpg A 28ft aluminum horse trailer gooseneck 4 horses 8.5 to CO Average empty from CO 21.7mpg I live in AZ and I drive the truck like it's a 1967 RS camero 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 ❤ the GODZILLA

Hey Jeff, everyone talks about the towing but what about the breaking on those steep passes ? I live out here in Colorado & have a few very steep & long passes & was wondering how the breaking was ? ? Also I am thinking about getting the Godzilla vs the diesel due to the emissions problems but have heard about the lifters / cam issues of this engine ? ? Any info would be great ! The Tow/Haul Mode uses the transmission to downshift and slow the truck. I’ve gone down some long steep grades here in Utah and hardly touched the brakes. Giving a firm press and release on the brakes will force downshift and hold it there. Super Duty brakes are large and I’ve never experienced any fade or loss of braking power. I’ve heard that the delaminating issues have been with the lower power rated engines that are being used in commercial applications like Uhauls and delivery trucks. The Godzilla is truly a beast. I just bought an F350 Power Stroke Diesel Tremor cause of the color and have pulled the same trailer with it. I honestly had a better towing experience with the F250 Gasser.

Alot of failure with this motor and transmission. You will not like the gas motor in Colorado if you tow more than 8000 pounds. I have a 2023 7.3. Not impressed. Came from a 2015 powerstroke. I am running back to diesel.

You must be driving flat roads LOL. Elevation here is 4400 feet but travelling into the mountains can add thousands of feet in elevation, long, steep grades, up and down. Payload is 2,822 and the King Pin weight is 1,680 so I have plenty of payload left. Side note, my Tremor with the 7.3l, 24,900 GCWR and a 4.30 Axle Ratio is rated to tow 17,500 gooseneck/fifth wheel and my trailer, loaded, weighs 11,340.

4.30... All Tremors with the 7.3 gas engine have the 4.30.
