LOL!!!! That truck being towed sports a right side, Peterbilt floor mat on the left side, same as I do in my Mack. I do it in protest . I'm a Pete kind of guy and they took it away and gave me the Mack. It's a good truck, but I don't want my friends to see me in it. LOL.

Great video. The new drive line strap looks like the kind that Ron Pratt uses. You keep saying that it is hot there. So I went in my weather channel I have on my computer and you are supposed to be over 100 all this week.

Those new straps better than the old bunges , they do seem a little light weight though, Try normal shortend load straps long enough to loop the shaft once then strap chassis top to chassis top , ratchet off to grip it, it will never move.

You were talking about it getting hot. How do you keep from getting burned when the temperature is 116 or 120 and you have to get on the ground? I used to live down there and I know the pavement and even the dirt is scorching.

Every time you open the cab of an older truck the side of the seat is worn down to the stuffing. You'd think by now truck manufacturers would start putting reinforced leather, or nylon, or Kevlar or something that wouldn't wear away and look like crap.

I see they have the center open doors on their containers. We call them widowmakers. You have to stand in the center when you open the doors so the doors don't hit you and hope nothing falls on you when the doors open. We converted them to full width doors.

sorry if this is a n00b comment (I am not a truck driver, nor a mechanic, etc) but why do you struggle with a wrench to crack the drive shaft bolts, THEN use the impact? wouldn't it just be easier to use the impact instead of the wrench?

Why do you have to remove the driveshaft with that old of a truck, im sure it's not an automatic.

Removing the driveshaft prevents transmission damage. Thanks for watching!

Robert Cowger those transmissions are not sitting in a bath of gear oil, that gets slung around inside as the gears roll!! The different boxes have specific ways lubrication gets to all of its internals, and being turned by the driveshaft is not one of the ways lube is spread!! Plus, it's possible to hit a bump, and accidentally knocking the shifter into a gear. Not all have a working positive gateways, to prevent accidental gearshift movement! I have driven truckers that come out of gear when a bump is hit! It needs to be repaired, but no one is going to go thru the expense of that, if not otherwise necessary!
