When i think about baker as a role i imagined a neutral good role whose objective was to give bread to a certain number of people to win with bread having some magic power that gives basic defense for one night.

That sounds like an amazing role! Why dont they add those! NG roles can be like NE roles(exe and pirate more specifically) but they leave if they do some generally beneficial thing enough times. Like a role that gives out defense as you said and wins if they save 2 people, one that revives people like old retri, exc. Maybe defense one can be an arms dealer sorta dude that visits someone with a day ability like the pirate and they can choose to either gain a one time use basic attack or basic defense. They would win if their sales were effective 3 times(total of 3 kills/saving) and the kills would be listed as hired gun kill or something so it would be unknown who did it. Ofc tho the killing ability would be a standalone ability that doesnt take the night ability from the buyer.

Pretty sure Juice is using the thorn symbol wrong. Þ makes the TH sound in "Thorn", while the TH sound in "the" is ð. He seems to be using it as a catch-all TH replacement.

When movable set printing became a thing, it became standard to write thorn a “y”, especially for the word “the” which is where we get “ye olde” from, it’s actually just “the old” þͤ -> [another step that looks between the first symbol and a “y” but doesn’t have a Unicode character so I can’t type it, but if you don’t want to look it up, imagine the loop of the first symbol migrated to the top of the letter from the middle, it’s halfway between being a P and being a Y] -> yͤ -> y ᵉ (e should be closer, Unicode spacing is weird) -> Ye

I think Baker may not be as difficult as people think. The key is to give bread to people who will die exactly day 4. For example, deputy has no reason to hold their shot once famine emerges. If they have bread and they misshoot, it’s a free kill for Famine. Same applies to prosecutor, except it wastes a trial. And finally, taking NEs to the end game lets them work with Famine (Exe/Jest) or die from inability to win (Pirate/Doomsayer). Another free kill for famine. It will be interesting to see if deputies actually stop shooting in Famine games to counter this sort of plan from Baker.

Baker seems super painful to play if your bread targets keep dying, but at the same time they nuke the rest of the players hard if they can get their 3 breads out. Hard to know if Baker deserves a buff to its early game or not.

The early game is fine, its high risk, high reward to make the role impactful when it works, but rare. Thats fairly ideal, the real issue with the role is that once it goes off, there is 4 players, probably 2 of which are confirmed so surviving long enough for them to starve is basically impossible.

I was wondering how they'd make the four horsemen actually work, especially Famine kinda a shame it's near impossible to win with. Famine needs help honestly. Even if the stars align they still need to hang on until the people with bread starve and by that point a lot of people would be confirmed. At best they simply accelerate the game and help someone else win.

@@jmagicd9831 Disagree, anything which can prove themselves outright is bad. Dep, Pros, Mayor, Admirer, etc. Breadifying these is effectively handing the Neut or the Pros the win. Problem with Famine is that when it triggers, Famine needs to survive at maximum ANOTHER 3 days to kill the remaining 3 (Sped along by the existence of Neuts or wrong lynches), but this is even harder to do when everyone left alive knows Famine is one of the 4. If you can immediately outright prove yourself against Famine, you're lessening Famine's odds. And by day 4, a Pros or Dep should have an idea of who is less agreeable. I think the only "ideal" dream scenario is if Famine can hit other Apocalypses, or 3 totally different allegiances.

Famine needs to only proc when there is at least one other apocalypse role That way the strat is to find out who is that and give them bread that way you can have an ally when transforming otherwise the role is just garbage overall
