My son LOVED the 1984 graphic novel. He's come to really love George Orwell. I also have Fahrenheit 451 as a graphic novel. My boys are profoundly dyslexic so I appreciate that they've offered these books in a graphic novel form.

I didn't realize there was also a Fahrenheit 451 as a graphic novel! I may have to pick that up as well!

I looked at that music production class and a few other non-math options on the Mr. D site this year. I can’t wait to hear a review of this class! Thanks for the great video!

My girls are going to 8th grade but I love looking at HS curriculum picks to help alleviate the pressure I feel to try to squeeze so much into middle school. For instance I’d planned to do the fallacy detective and whatever happened to Penny candy (2nd attempt) for 8th grade. Now I know I can hold off because I definitely want them to use GH Government in HS. Seems heavy so may even save that one for 10th grade. Thanks for sharing!

I have definitely planned some books too early in the past and end up pushing off to later! I actually found that we had done most of the Guest Hollow Chemistry in the Kitchen books when we did Sonlight level J a few years ago, and wished I had been able to save some of them for that course when I realized they were used. We may end up going that route for my youngest who is only going into 4th grade - plenty of time to make changes 🤣

Love hearing your curriculum picks for high school. We aren’t year yet, but will be very soon. We are big fans of Guest Hollow

We used a lot of the labs from Chemistry in the Kitchen (and plan to do a few others this fall for fun). I had never heard of them before last year! Which resources have you used?

I’d love to hear more about his passion projects and aspects like what courses he’s done with skill share, etc.
@Townsendhouse15 ай бұрын
I will have to ask him on specifics, but he typically enjoys going into skillshare looking for specific things he needs help with in Blender. He also enjoyed going through several of the unreal engine 5 classes. He is an experimenter though, so he doesn't necessarily do every class, he learns something and then tries it and then tries to experiment with what he learned. Some of his focuses this year - easily move and model objects in Blender, animate using keyframes, voice acting, matching sounds with mouth movements in animation, and editing through adobe premiere pro. It has been a fun year of work for him! His 2 big projects are creating an animated minecraft series and then creating games in Roblox Studio.

Is Life of Fred a curriculum or just a supplement for Geometry?
@Townsendhouse15 ай бұрын
It is a full curriculum, but we use it as a supplement. There are not always step-by-step directions and answers to all the questions which would be challenging for us.
