There could have been traffic or kids running in the parking lot - the moral of the story is - a simple tow for an expired tag isn't worth driving reckless in an apartment/multi-family housing parking lot.

At 16 just as I got my licence, my father to me to a friend's wrecking yard and body shop. The owner was very graphic about showing me a few vehicles from some fatals. Over 50 years later, that experience still influences my thinking on the road. All kids should have the same experience of seeing what happens when two 3,000 lb. chunks of steel collide.

i almost lost a good friend last year due to a road rager on a mountain road. He hit my friends truck sent it rolling down the road flipped 8 times but stopped around 2 feet from the edge of a around 150 ft drop one of the days ill never forget. guy got caught 3 hours later and arrested spent just over 9 months in jail and 6 year drivers license suspension. gotta be careful on the road these days.

With today's tech, there's no reason for the cops to chase anyone. They put innocent people's lives at risk just like the person running. Google the ending of the chase in Florida where the innocent delivery driver gets shot in a hail of police bullets. This after a long chase and damage to other vehicles.

Wow! That is scary. I live in Las Vegas NV and I swear that we have the worst of the worst drivers. I lived my first 34 years in southern CA and thought there were bad drivers there until we moved to Vegas 20 years ago. It is common to see cars run a red light 5 seconds AFTER the light turned red. I never saw an overturned car until we moved here. Now I drive past one of those multiple times in a year. I can't imagine living with the guilt from causing an accident like the car you showed knowing you killed someone.

szqsk8 You're absolutely right. I find it simply amazing with all the cameras around in Police cars and on every road just about, how this driver has escaped detection for so long. Even more concerning must be the fact if he hits and hurts or kills someone whilst driving this car with no tags, insurance etc. The Police should have the ability to wheel lock/disable the vehicle of such people who flagrantly disregard and or break the law.It's just not right to the community he lives in.

Jeeze. My car 1,500 miles away has an 8/20 tag and there is nothing I can do for now due to COVID. I do pay rent for an apt. I have not seen since March! I had someone check for me and so far no tow :) Next week I go there just to get it registered.

The state may have done away with license plate tags[sticker] because I've had my current vehicle for four years and no tags[sticker] have been issued. The only thing is the annual registration sticker for the wind shield that is currently required. Insurance, also, as well as a current [within 90 days] vehicle inspection when applying for the registration sticker.

Just a little tip from I learned from my mother who was a Fedex driver for 20 years in ATL and had to take MANY defensive driving classes...wait at least 3-5 seconds before going into the intersection after the light turns green and look before you go...gives you time to spot a red light runner and preventing an accident..Be safe out there y'all!

From drugs and drinking to people running from the police and now more than ever people on their phone. I drive for a living and the amount of people I see almost wreck because they're too focused on their phone instead of driving is just disgusting. I watched Heavy Rescue on Netflix and became aware of how dangerous it is out there for you tow truck drivers. I also, through the show and a couple of experiences with my own vehicles getting towed (out of a snowbank on a ice-rink like road) gained some serious respect for the skill required to do this job. We recently lost two of our local tow truck drivers here in Montana when an out-of-state driver didn't notice the brake lights of the semi in front of him, swerved into the passing lane and took out the two men who were helping a stranded vehicle. Very sobering, especially coming up to Christmas. I drive with my radio off or on low volume and my windows cracked. I hear sirens a long way off and do it for the exact to avoid the situation those poor young women found themselves. I have all the sympathy for them but absolutely none for those who flee police. Good job blocking that guy in his car in the parking lot. He new fully what he was doing. My thoughts and prayers out to the victims and their families in that car crash from that police chase. One thing I always do when I am driving and I am stopped at a red light and the light changes to green is I always look both directions before going and it has saved my butt a couple of time’s doing that. You are correct you have to pay attention to your surroundings and what is going on at all times. Take care and stay safe out there.
