Your Right we do need to stick togather on our pricing..Its very important that we do this,there are many reasons one being cost of running your business.I checked with the local towing companys and we all got on the same page as far as miles and hourly rates,not to mention special equipment. And yes its driving the motor clubs nuts now.Clubs like Urgently are being forced to pay-up now.Because Urgently got tired of having there customers on the side of the road for sometimes 3 hours ...while they were searching for a cheap tow outfit... I say this in respect to all the good towing companys out there.There is power in numbers when we stick togather.Dont under-cut your towing brothers.It will pay you better in the long run. Sincerely Diamond Towing

This I completely agree on. Miles, rates, and special equipment don't adjust based on OEM. Vehicle model sure but not vehicle make.

Incredible analysis and comparison between the two industries , towing & cabs. Towing companies better hope the same thing doesn't systematically occur within their industry as it has in the cab industry. Very scary stuff. Especially when you have invested quite a bit in to equipment, facilities etc... As stated, just a few years ago NYC medallion owners thought they had solid investments for their futures and that was quickly dissolved...

I’ve got a couple calls from AllState (I am not a road-service provider for them) but the area I am in Texas seems no one wants to go. They always want to pay whatever they want I usually don’t provide the service unless they pay upfront at my rate.
@dianevanderlinden34802 жыл бұрын
I have seen some heartbreaking cases...customer stranded in the middle of nowhere in Texas for 7 hours. The guy was so scared he was crying. When I left my shift he was still out there as the provider I needed approval from wouldn't budge on the rate...25 dollars more. And I thought the rate the provider had given was pretty good.
@roadres-q17986 жыл бұрын
We wanted to start off as a tow company however in our area there are so many already operation and once we saw the Mc rates we decided to shift to roadside only till the business was more stable then add towing because of the low rates. It’s 35 to jump a car but 55 to tow a car? It does not compute. We feel for all you who have active companies and we are on your side. There are to many industry killers there right now from MCs to other companies.
@AV8RPRENEUR4 жыл бұрын
Road Res-Q used Google ads and advertise only in a 10 mile radius with a flat rate lets say $100/tow, people who call you are already expecting to pay $100/towing and your scenario will change. It worked for me.

U right . They don’t want to pay 💰.

The "contracts" that you all signed are now null and void. If you signed up for a $75 soft service, it will now be offered for $28. If you add the funds through the dispatch portal it will most likely get denied. Instead wait for a dispatcher to call you to get the price you want, upfront on a vcc. Otherwise you will get screwed

Yes. The medallion system is grossly unfair to anyone wanting to get started in the business and to the customers as well. The system going down is only harmful to those trying to profit from an unfair system that has no place in a free market economy.

In my city there is a bunch of people “towing” with whatever trailer or dolly for $35-$45 dlls 😨🤦🏻♂️ My market on the borderline does not pay much but if they don’t pay my rate of $70 $ ( &up depending o distance and the type of vehicle) I don’t even turn the key on my tow truck

Urgently owes me for 48 po’s. They had me pay 100$ for lockout damages on a 2003 infinity (6/29/19) which was taken out in supplements from calls throughout July. When I decided to look at all the ach payments from them (9/10/19), they haven’t paid me since that 100$ I paid. After bringing the matter up to sp payments I was told that I had a claim pending (made up story) don’t trust urgently nobody! #omwroadside in Atlanta

Onsite Towing and Recovery after leaving this review above, Urgently paid for all 48 pos’. It took a few days but tbh I think it might’ve taken even longer if I wouldn’t have posted above. I believe what you’re doing as a provider is very useful to the industry! The more knowledge you issue out, the more powerful your company becomes! Keep it coming 💯

Hey luis, been watching you for years, is it a bad idea to start with a 80s ramp truck? Ive been considering some older trucks because I can personally fix them and my idea is to start with 2 and get a driver. what are you thoughts, I have no help, dont know anyone and new to ATL, I plan on getting insurance and wondering will this stop me from getting work form the mega insurance company .....PS this question will be on many of your videos, just reply to one

Have any experience with Honk For Help? They appear to be just like Urgently. I always like Cash on delivery myself and never do low ball tow pricing.

Honk spend a lot of time jerking me off. They call several times a day trying to get it done for cheap. I hate them as much as Agero lol.
@waynetrain36315 жыл бұрын
I had to stop taken honk calls myself as I would bid on a job at the lowest possible rate that I seen feasible and then I would never get the job which could only mean someone else did crackhead prices they don't even have commercial insurance or business license I know because I know the man that runs it. In our industry it just has to make sense for our business.

I’m undercutting all my competition and I don’t care. I can run calls cheaper and fast than all of you! Adapt and overcome or your business will die.
@mikespillman30755 жыл бұрын
you are assuming that being cheaper than everybody else is gonna win you all the business, or more importantly, the loyalty of all the local auto repair facilities, and earn you a good reputation in your community. this is also assuming you can provide the same level and quality as your competitors. There's more to the game. you might feel that you are successful, but there are many segments to the market....if you are kicking ass, are you kicking ass in the ''whole'' market, or just the segment you are concentrating on? are you towing for the small mom and pop auto repair joints and doing well? good. are you catching the interest of the service managers at the Benz dealer or that buick chevy gmc dealership? what about that kinda high end porsche/audi/vw shop that all the people who live in the ''nice'' part of town take their cars? you dont always have to be the cheapest to be successful brother. But i like your enthusiasm. Hope we have another conversation about towing in 20 years and your still kicking ass. Remember, its a marathon, not a sprint.

So you think its ethical to adjust your tow rate based off vehicle make? So a Lexus sedan will be more expensive than a Toyota sedan tow? Okkkkkk. Sounds like you want things to be how they were 20 years ago. Welcome to the automotive industry, everything is getting consolidated. Research the body shop industry...
@towuniverse24435 жыл бұрын
Absolutely, A Lexus is more expensive than a Toyota at the dealer. Lexus dealer shop labor rate is a higher than Toyota. The higher the risk to tow, I justify charging more. German car especially, they have the added step of utilizing the tow hook, low air dams etc. When you price out an insurance policy they charge a higher premium for higher value cars, don't they?
@DM-nr9mq5 жыл бұрын
Not sure why you're bringing up German cars when I'm referring to Lexus and Toyota.Your risk is transactional. Insurance covers every intangible possible if they insured has full coverage. If you were involved in a loss while towing a Camry vs a IS350, do you think it'd be fair if your insurance company charged a higher surcharge based on the vehicle type? That's your logic, flawed and illegal. Insurance companies aren't allowed to do that. I'd love to see your posted rate sign, I'm sure it covered an entire wall.
@towuniverse24435 жыл бұрын
@@DM-nr9mq i bought up German because in the video, the car i am charging more for happens to be 130k Mercedes G wagen. Fyi, insurance companies base premuims on the type of risk. Why cant i charge more on higher end cars?
@DM-nr9mq5 жыл бұрын
Yea I got that. Sounds like you're adjusting rates as you go. That's not measurable. Insurance companies have actuaries to adjust rates with risk and need approval from the Department of Insurance to increase rates. From what you're saying, you based off vehicle make. Average 2012 Mercedes C350 isn't worth that much more than an average 2012 Toyota Camry. 2-3k difference at most. Feel free to justify that.
@drdieselusa5 жыл бұрын
DM, it is not about the make of the car, but the class of the car and the charges are justifiable. Higher value cars are a higher risk for damage and especially a higher risk for false or fraudulent damage claims.
