Yep, there Is a fairly short but effective list of objections people can come up with depending on "where they are". Off the top of my head it's as though you are trying to plug multiple leaks in an inflatable swimming pool. The Human mind is going to find another escape route and will take the path of least resistance which doesn't involve thinking very deeply about what has been discussed particularlyif it isn't perceived as an emergency or requires the expenditure of effort or money which many people don't have or have already gotten plans for. It worse if the subject throws up a need to contemplate a less secure future. People will spend a lot of time dodging the subject whilst at the same time wasting the same or more time doubling down on their existing position. A disconnect is to be avoided at considerable cost because we don't like being in uncomfortable positions. Better to be as happy as a pig in shit or the frog slowly being boiled alive. If you are making a cake and you substitute flour for cement you don't get the cake but so many people can't help but superimpose their own take on top of expert advice. You cannot save most people, the best you can do is save some. Make sure you stay saved yourself.

Remember stupid people are dangerous they do not understand the built in inflationary nature of the $Dollar or the velocity of it.The faster it moves through the economy the more inflationary it becomes. Meanwhile the actual $ symbol is trickery it is no where to be seen on a Federal Reserve Note.An example of this if you receive an electricity Bill for $500 not Five hundred Dollars , if you take the $ Dollar Symbol away because it means nothing you are left with 500 nothings. Believe it or not the Federal Reserve Notes are BILLS of EXCHANGE notice the Signature on them that’s what gives it value nothing else. If you are smart and learn the Bills of Exchange Act in your country your signature and the correct wording will turn that UTILITY BILL into a BILL of EXCHANGE why because no one SIGNS it because no one is claiming you owe 500 nothings put your signature on it and some correct wording and send it back payment is complete you just got to know how to defend it as the is no money you are just balancing accounts through treasury. Cheers learn all about Bills of Exchange and Promissory Notes( A promise to pay) as there is no money.

You’re mistaken about the paying off the mortgage early piece but not in how one would assume. If the mortgage rate is 7%, bitcoin only needs to appreciate by about half of that to break even. So 3.5% appreciation in btc for it to break even with a 7% mortgage rate. So if btc does 7% then you are way ahead compared to paying off a mortgage early that has a 7% interest rate. These number aren’t exact but pretty close.
@hugomiller102516 сағат бұрын
Paying off the mortgage vs buying Bitcoin? I have maxxed out all my credit cards to buy Bitcoin. I'm paying about 20% interest, but in a currency that is depreciating by about 10% per annum. Bitcoin has increased by approx 100% this last year so I'm still well out in front.

As you can see I’m slicing and dicing my pile. At some point in 10 years when I’ll will want to sell portion of it how will I know how much did I make or how much taxes I need to pay if I only know average buying price?

Why is Bitcoin "not a currency"? Are you playing games with definitions?
@TallStack-su8sq15 сағат бұрын
@@Bitcoin_University I think Bitcoin is often viewed as more of an investment than a currency because of its sometimes extreme volatility and limited acceptance for everyday purchases. Many see it as a store of value, especially since its deflationary nature makes holding it more appealing than spending it. Personally, I have and use BTC, but how can I receive my salary in BTC and spend it if it’s $40K in January and $70K in October? Maybe later, with a lot of ETF inflows, it will become more stable, but right now, I can’t see it as a currency, even if I want to.

@gwynedd118 сағат бұрын
MSTR will go up faster because its really a leverage position. However it does have counter party risk. I use it for money stuck in retirement accounts. I did leave money on the table by having much larger cash accounts than the typical working stiff ,but I knew it was a trade off. So I have less of this problem . However its still not a trivial amount. MSTR solves this problem , and better than any ETF in my opinion.

Exchange systems can go down due to high volumes. Bitcoin blockchain can get congested due to high demand as well, which leads to high transaction fees on-chain.
