Nice way to pretend Taylor only appears for 10 seconds. No it’s everywhere all the time and continues after the game. If she appeared once every other month there wouldn’t be a problem but she is now being shoved down people’s throats. I don’t think this is Taylor’s doing but the media’s, although she does lean into it since this is her first seemingly successful relationship in a while. It went from “aww good for Taylor”, to “oh I guess we’re talking about them again”, to “ok we get it they’re together and we already said congrats”, to finally “ugh again go awayyyyyy”

I was watching a college football game when they first mentioned Taylor Swift. I wanted to watch football not hear about a celebrity's dating life. I was cheering on my team. Anger like this really isn’t about anger, but an *unhandled sadness.* Unjust anger is not accepted in today’s society anymore, rightfully so. But today it’s pushed down and repressed instead of being handled. So what comes out from that is even more anger, because men’s (incapability to speak of their) emotions are not addressed. Now, unjust aggression towards anyone - like this - should never be accepted. But there’s a societal issue that needs to be addressed too. I definitely think that in the brand new age of feminism, we have left men feeling marginalized because we went from a society that practically worshipped manhood and chivalry to a society that says who needs a man and for a lot of men that's off putting because there are good men out here who were raised to be loving, caring and kind and in today's climate its all shadowed by the evils that other men do. I think we as a society just need to uplift one another no matter the gender, race, and sexuality. At the end of the day we are all human and we need to show a little more kindness to one another.

I love how Joy took an empathetic stance on these type of men. The struggle is real for men weather on the right or left loneliness is killing us but we do have a responsibility to make the changes in our lives for the better though. Nothing changes if nothing changes

Lots to unpack here. I consider myself a very mild Taylor Swift fan. Love her music and it got me through homelessness. When it comes to football, I'm not a fan and never understood the weird quirks behind it. That being said, a lot of men (and others) are indeed struggling with loneliness, but I think this is more because of late-stage Capitalism. I do find it curious that Joy seems to have sympathy for many of these lonely men despite telling Millennials that they need to "just get a job". To that end, imagine having to work three jobs just to get by and not having time to socialize with others (since you have to get up early next morning for work). When it comes to jobs, Joy, however, is right. Not only are they not enough jobs, but the jobs we have either don't pay well, socially isolating, and repetitive.

I'm going to take a stab at it, and I am going to try my very best not to come off as ignorant. I am not going to try to say who is right and who is wrong, but I just want to give a point of view. Let's say on Taylor Swift's tour after every song she performs, the big board is switched to Travis Kelcie for 5-7 seconds losing his mind. After every song. To the point where his reaction is part of the show. She does a concert a week for 17 weeks and after every song, we have to see Travis Kelcie supporting Taylor, maybe dancing, cheering and what not. It gets to the point where you can't talk about a Taylor Swift concert without bringing up Travis. There becomes a Travis watch at all of her shows. It is hard-pressed to have Taylor Swift news without somebody bringing up Travis Kelcie, which has nothing to do with her performance, her songs, her musicianship, her life. Do you think there will be a portion of Taylor Swift fans who will feel like he doesn't need all that exposure? Are you telling me there wouldn't be a portion of Taylor Swift fans who would be annoyed by the presence of Travis and just want to enjoy her performance, her songs, her musicianship without having to think about an NFL player? What I am getting at is some people just want to watch the NFL. It's how they get away from life. We just want to watch a game of football, and of the 1,619 active players in the NFL, we don't care who any player is dating. It's their time of the week where all they have to do is root for their team and/or enjoy the sport. Now the outside world is penetrating their sanctuary and of corse there is going to be pushback.

Some people don’t like that a woman is getting attention about football so I won’t say everyone but what I will say is the people I know are annoyed because she’s getting more attention than the players on the field. When players score a TD and instead of watching their celebration we are zooming in on Taylor Swift, why? They have dimmed down on her a lot during games which I appreciate but the first few games she showed up to she was shown 20-30 times. That’s ridiculous. Especially when we know the NFL is just doing it to cash in on her celebrity.

Taylor, Miley, Beyonce, Gaga and every woman with a voice does a "We're Not Gonna Take It" video and then promotes regular women and girls doing that song. Gogos , Bangles, Joan Jett, and all of the famous artists do the song. Cher suits up and hits it hard. Cindy Lauper does it with an unknown garage band. It spreads all over the world easily saving democracy in this country.

American values, more money=power. No wonder wealthy people have a superiority complex when the average American is constantly uplifting them. I wish we could stop idolizing them and start seeing where they would be without all the praise and admiration. As for Whoopie, she missed the point once again. Then again, I am not surprised by Ms. Know it all. At least Alyssa was able to make a valid point.
