I reverted back in 2018. I'm still learning, a slow process considering the fact none of my family really understand or support my choice. I haven't even visited my local mosque because every time I try to interact with the Muslims that live near me, I get judged. Honestly, if I didn't know for certain that Islam teaches the truth, I would have given up. But Allah is my support. I stay at home, read my quran and do the best I can. I'm glad to be watching this today, I feel a loss less isolated now 💕

I completely understand how you feel. I myself am on the fence with fully converting. It's a struggle without support. Being here, watching this and seeing comments like yours helps a lot. I wore a hijab to the store once just to see if I felt comfortable because I do want too, and I respect what it stands for, the purpose. Maybe I shouldn't have went to the local grocery store and went to a larger store, but I know people was starring so hard and when checking out the woman asked me, "are you wearing that for religious reasons" and she did say it kindly and I felt comfortable saying why, but it was the overwhelming amount of judging eyes on me while I told her. An older man said, he really liked it. Which honestly was nice. But it's just hard not having anyone to personally talk to about this all. Sorry so long. But yes regardless we have Allah.
@sumysharpe3 жыл бұрын
@@_RavishingRaven_ I used to feel the same, when I became Muslim 7/7 bombings just happened in Luton, England. Which is also where I lived. J went to the shop and an old man tried to hit me with his car. It's hard with no support, but you know when you look back, you'll realise how much stronger it made you. Its not nice to be judged but remember people will judge regardless, so if they are going to do it to you, let it be for the right reason. I'm sorry if I have babbled on a bit.

I find it so strange how Allah guides us to certain people. I only took my Shahadah 29th November 2021. I felt so scared because I didn't know how many people reverted to Islam and if it was particularly common. Since taking my shahadah people have been popping up all over the place including yourselves Alhamdullilah. I'm grateful you guys came to social media because it is extremely powerful the small acts you both do that make such a huge impact on people's lives.

I took my Shahada on the same day!! Nov 29th, 2021 😀😀 I am curious what led you to Islam? I had been doing research for about 1.5-2 years when I took my Shahada. I wish I had done it sooner to be honest. It is so awesome to find someone going through the same thing as myself.

I'm a Gnostic Christian who has been appreciating many of your videos. So, Christianity has been so corrupted by the men of the church that it drives people away for Christianity altogether. How many times have I been told that I'm not a "real" Christian because I don't believe in the resurrection or miraculous virgin births or something else. Too many to count. My point here is that there are people in every religion who will tell other people in the religion that they aren't a "real" fill in the religion here. You are absolutely correct that it is important to keep your eyes on the teaching of Muhammed/Jesus/Moses/Buddha etc. instead of paying attention to human "authority". None of these people are Allah/The One.

Every group whether it's religious, political, or even just a book club is going to have someone that ruins things for others. Negative people exist everywhere and they will never be happy, so they bring down everyone else to make themselves feel better. Happy people find goodness in everything and everyone. I ride a curvy center line of the 2. This channel is 1 of the happy curves for me.

I asked a fellow Taoist a question on freedom that I was confused about. He has a KZbin platform, so I reached out for advice. He told me maybe Taoism isn't for me because I am thinking of freedom with a Western mindset :(. I just wanted guidance, a different perspective, and he told me my beliefs (which was just a question) are not for my spiritual practice. I have been studying Taoism for years, but felt shunned from my own people. I also practice secular Judaism and Buddhism, but I LOVE watching your channel because I feel that you welcome people with love rather than shun them for asking questions or having differences of opinion. Your messages, your channel, everything you are doing is allowing for anyone to get something out of your messages and Islam. Thank you for being so beautifully inclusive and special people in a world that needs more love like yours🙏 Namaste my friends.

Ive been bullied when trying to learn about muslims. Extremism lasts in every religion to the point that, if you don't beileve what I beileve you are clearly wrong Edit to add: I'm a happy agnostic who believes that religion it's self may be nice to have but all in all shouldn't be something that people get upset over in 2022. It’s really beautiful to watch how my patient prays, especially when he prays with her. She has allowed me to give her vuzu (I do not know the spelling, I apologize) so that she may pray; as she is bedridden. I was so honored and blessed to do so. Islam as a religion has so many layers due to various cultural and ethnic influences. It becomes very easy to criticize others based on these vague lines. We all know that it is best to accept the diversity and move along together but we won't do it mainly because one school of thought cannot accept being equal to another school of thought. Most of the Islamic knowledge since the last 1400 years is either lost in translation or misunderstood or simply burnt off by politically motivated Muslims groups. The cycle keeps going and today they are attacking thinkers online instead of burning libraries.

I kinda get the sense that even if the Hadith about men not imitating women is legitimate, it's talking about men who maliciously disguised themselves as women to prey on women or something to that affect and likely had nothing to do with man just wearing something that is also worn by a woman. Plus, jewelry is really only effeminate by today's standards. Same with long hair. It was pretty common for Abrahamic men to wear their hair long, yet that would be considered effeminate by our modern culture
