Unfortunately, as the flaws become more obvious, the bad attempts to defend them become more and more obnoxious. I think this line of thinking is inherently flawed because there are exactly 0 pieces of media that have no haters and thus there's no such thing as 'objectively' garbage for example, even at the height of the MCU "End Game" (based on viewership, reviews, revenue) has people calling it garbage because 'the writers wrote themselves into a corner that needed a multiverse to fix' or 'thanos felt too OP with the gauntlet yet he basically did fuck all after the snap.' take arcane(season 1), another series that's praised for its writing, can be criticized for the plot armor some characters have to the point that an explosion being fatal is an odd occurrence (ep.3 most main characters made it out, it's even shown to vaporise Sevikas arm but apparently did nothing to the rest of her. despite talking big game about not sticking to the game they backtracked and made it canon with the game so any game champ basically feels immune to lethal damage.).

It’s amazing how these defenders of the sequels and TLJ have to project and cope to defend their movie. They call us critic liars and clout chasers yet they have to actively lie or misrepresent the films they are defending to make good. Luke killing Kylo Ren is a stupid scene because it wasn’t built up well. TLJ failed miserably to justify why Luke was so miserable and as a homage to Rashomon; it’s hollow and superficial at best. An insult to Kurosawa. Also Luke being old and stupid isn’t a good defense especially when the film fails to delve into Kylo Ren side of the story. You could have; if the film was more like godfather part two with a flashback narrative running alongside. But nope. Rian-Dunning-Krueger-Johnson was too bent on the meta narrative and thinking his first draft was genius. No thanks.

I think what bothers me most about brand loyalists is you almost never see them say "You guys are overreacting, even with the problems it was okay." No, it's always anywhere between "It's really good!" or "The best thing evar11!" and they're so insecure about the product they can't go two tweets without leveraging insults against "the haters". Hey loomar any clue as to why the ads on your videos can’t be blocked or even liked for that matter? Only option is report and usually you only see that on like network tv channels. Like its just kinda surprising to see this on a small channel Anyway amazing video. Sometimes all this online discourse makes me think ‘oh everyone is a critic these days stop nitpicking everything’ which makes me question if this criticism or that one is valid but no you reminded me that writing is in fact often objective and making long form content poking at all the mistakes is valid, most of the time

I think WB releasing the Snyder cut was a mistake. Because immediately after WB gave them what they want, the Snyder bros turned around and asked WB to restore the Snyderverse and even after the DCEU got rebooted, they still whin about it. So, much so they making up lies, like James Gunn is a pedo, WB sabotage the Snyderverse, they fired Ben Affleck on The Batman, DC has gone to shit since Zack and Christopher Nolan (even though they had success with, Aquaman, Joker and Batman), trying to fire James Gunn, etc.

Ive never watched a live action remake of any of disneys classics. Computer generated CGI is so souless and unbeleivably shocking in quality these days. The hand drawn animated classics like the lion king and aladdin are far superior to any CGI crap a computer can create these days. the hand drawn animated classics in the 90s and even as far back as the 40s is true art. They have a soul to them.

This is such a lobotomized take, CGI is much closer to a medium than a film-technique and even that depends on the execution. That's like saying something is bad, based on few examples. why don't you say all animated shows are bad; based on all family guy clones? Why don't you say all animated movies are bad, based on those straight to DvD movies? Why don't you say all Jurassic Park movies are bad, based on all the new Jurassic World films? Why don't you say all live-action movies are bad, based on The Room? Did you know they used CGI in Terminator-2 and Jurassic Park-1 in conjunction with practical effects? Did you know the extremely realistic time-travelling outfits from Endgame were entirely made out of CGI? Your take sucks.
