Honestly I think this is worse than 2004 Catwoman Back 20 years ago superhero films were still a niche and there was only really, Blade, Spiderman and X-Men that had good productions associated with them We live in an age where superhero films are as popular as sci-fi or horrors or comedies, with the possibility to rake in billions, along with the advancements in technology and techniques, so the fact that this feels like a early 2000s superhero film where no one gave a shit just makes it come across worse because there's really no excuse for it

i watched it yesterday and thought it didn't make sense, but now i'm watching your video and you're pointing out so many more mistakes.. now i'm even more angry, thanks! (just kidding loved your video)

Honestly, the movie takes no actual look at what real consequences would be going on during the story No one looks for the stolen taxi, she can somehow just get on a flight, she somehow only spends a week to get deep into the Amazon jungle, learned everything and get out again, and the cops never investigated her at the end of the movie Things just happen because the film needs them to and nothing is explored about it

I've been having fun mocking this movie, but they do explain the kidnapping. Julia shouts to the police on the station that Cassie is kidnapping them. However, the police never radios this in to anyone, so the other police shouldn't know about it. Also, Ezekiel on top of not wearing his suit in public being stupid, is also stupid for not letting Cassie get arrested by the police, and just wait until later to finish off the girls. Maybe he panicked and thought the police was protecting them from him, but he sees Cassie get arrested, so he'd have no reason to think that. Also, the kidnapping plot is only ever brought up again in the diner, so Ezekiel can find them. The police never question Cassie, go to her home, question her coworkers like Ben Parker, or stop her from leaving the country for a week in post-9/11 New York. As for how this movie got made? It started out as Amy Pascal's girlboss dream pitch for Sony in 2014 that was supposed to be a spinoff of The Amazing Spider-Man. It was caught in development hell, then a DC Birds of Prey script (Oracle, Huntress, and Black Canary, not the 2020 movie) was bought by Sony and reworked into Marvel characters (Madame Web being the closest Marvel has to Oracle.) Then the script was changed after Dakota Johnson signed on, when they lied to her about it being in the proper MCU canon (as in, a Disney/Marvel Studios' movie) and the director decided she wanted to make it into a thriller movie, instead oaf a proper superhero movie. And that's hot you get Madame Web, a series of bad choices and events nobody had the foresight to say "no" to and cancel.

(male) reviewer folks expected three young girls to run around in sexy clothes like spiderman and shaking stuff for two hours..that did not happen. Now they have a hangover and write bad reviews..which is just very sad.. I saw the movie but did not know about all this. I actually thought this movie was about a escort service with Johnson being the madame. So i had not that sort of disappointed i guess. The movie is actually kind a like Next (Nicolas Cage) with Johnson seeing the future and a spider person sort of villain. I thought the story was good and movie was well made. Saying this is a bad movie that is just nonsense.

@@TheRealLoomar Looks like you also had complaints about Looper. . Looper that is a master piece even by Rotten Tomatoes standards (93% by reviewers). You seem to think that is crap. A movie is not a scipt or a book just no to that. It is a visual/ sound experience which one hopes appears to be coherent story wise. That is all there is to it. Bad Special Effects..all special effects are bad simply because all is fake. Maybe you sit to close. Do you even use videophile standards when you watch a movie? If no than your opinion on that has little relevance.

If you're using rotten tomatoes to justify why something is good then I instantly don't care. Rotten tomatoes is just simply how many people had a good time in theatres watching it. It has no relevance to in-depth analysis of the plot or themes "which one hopes appears to be coherent story wise" - which madame web and Looper aren't. Therefore they're bad storytelling experiences "All special effects look bad simply because all are fake" - maybe to you. I think films like the avatar films look stunning, despite being CGI heavy, because the special effects are really good. I can really believe in pandora because of them. Saying all special effects are bad is moronic "Videophile standards" - while I primarily look at the writing in stories, I also look for production errors or well produced shots to praise/criticise. Regardless, even if I didn't, me not obliging by your arbitrary standards doesn't make my take any less valid If you're asking me to turn my brain off to enjoy a film, then maybe you should be asking why these films need me to do that when there're really good films where you don't need to do that
