There was some 11 year old genshin player who tried to cancel this girl that he had a crush on, because she shared a profile picture with someone else in the discord. So I went into the discord, and what I witnessed was some hilarious shit. This 11 year old kid was saying homophobic slurs and shit towards lesbians when the discord members posted screenshots of some lesbian characters in genshin kissing. It’s crazy because it’s over some freaking profile pictures.

It’s sad that people see Gigachad in that way because of people who use them. When I originally picked up the profile pic, I did it as a reason to remind myself to be a better person but on a smaller note, not be toxic when commenting, to be open-minded, respectful and helpful to others and to constantly improve myself in a way that will have a positive impact in the world. Shame people use it to boost their ego instead of lifting others up who need it the most. P.S. The positive comments you guys have given me remind me why I do what I do and the future I fight for. It's exhausting and it's one of the hardest things I've ever gone through and I'm currently trying to get the proper help I need but it's really difficult. Some of my own family judges me for having depression and it makes me feel even worse about myself, guilty and hatred I already have for myself and they believe it's a choice when it's definitely not. It really upsets that there's people that would want to have depression to be quirky and trendy when it's not.

I'm a kpop fan and an anime fan. I personally don't have twitter, but I've seen enough to know that most kpop fans on there are from another planet. They go complete bonkers when people who say one bad thing about their groups and I as well as many others in the kpop community do not support their actions. It does suck though that whenever someone finds out that I listen to kpop they get kind of aggressive and think that I'm one of those toxic people when I'm not. That's the case with many other people like me. The toxic ones are the loud and cover up the ones who just wanna vibe and mind their own business. When you showed examples of Eren profiles (I’m not sure if I spelled his name right) I remembered a toxic friend on discord. They also were being rude when I said that Eren isn’t hot (they are a Eren simp). They were always just insulting me like it was a joke. Then they started trying to get into contact with me again since I blocked their main acc. They made a new discord acc just so they can talk to me again and etc.

Tbh it’s just the twitter kids who get angry at artist, trying to cancel them. 💀 As well with trying to talk over Hoyoverse by what is “cannon”. Most of community is more chill in the actual game and it’s pretty clear that these people don’t play the game by the mentally their on. It’s really disappointing on that side of the community, but there are still the brighter part of it! And the game is fun and we shouldn’t blame the creators of the toxicity of people- genshin is a beautiful game after all and still on going. I recommend it if you like to have some time off and the in-game community is really sweet and nice. I’ve never experienced a co-op with someone toxic but everything has its flaws, so don’t back down to defend yourself either!

To be honest I started playing genshin about a month ago and I haven't encountered any toxic people let alone any people at all because I don't let people join my world. Since I enjoy the game I might just complete the story and dip because what I heard about the community since day one is wild.

I'm playing it too (since release) and I can gladly say that I met only one person, that was toxic to a lower AR player, when I helped them farming. This person insulted the lower one as dumb and weak. Luckily the person left, after I said something.
