I truly believe this battle is one of the most intense moments in the entire series. Throughout the game, you've raised Emerl and watched him grow, swapping out moves to make him the strongest fighter he can be. And all that has culminated in Emerl's ultimate transformation; an enhanced state more powerful than anything else in the game. And yet Sonic is forced to fight him, the one who had the closest connection to Emerl and has pretty much grown to become Emerl's foster parent at this point. But now he has no choice but to destroy the robot he raised himself, or else everyone he's ever known and loved will die instantly, along with the planet he calls home. And he has to win this fight in 30 seconds, which is hardly any time. So we get to see a rare moment of Sonic truly going all out; Sonic is pushed to his absolute limits, because it's the only chance he has. He doesn't even have enough time to attempt to reason with his friend; only Sonic or Emerl will survive. This was ultimately their destiny all along; Sonic is a renowned hero who fights to save the world, and Emerl was a weapon made for mass destruction. And to think this all started from Sonic finding some weak robot washed up on a beach...

The boss really shows how scary Sonic can be in a fight, he is essentially fighting a robot in a super form with added power from a superweapon and the movesets of the entire main cast including sonic himself and Sonic wins in under 30 seconds

Side fact: This song doesn't just play in the final battle, but at the beginning of Shadow's story when Eggman is discussing Emerl getting the final emerald...which is great foreshadowing, if you ask me.

Imagine an HD remake of the game with the best of modern graphics, with various gameplay fixes, tweaks, and additions, all tracks metal remixes. Maybe as the final fight gets closer and closer to finishing, the track kicks up more and more, and maybe bonus elements are added like a choir. The later parts of the fight could have the Death Egg slowly crashing to the Earth in the background as it takes substantial damage from the fight going on. Likely never going to happen, but...how AWESOME would that be?
