This game had writing far too good for a side game, I swear. Sonic being in a vulnerable enough place to desperately bargain with Emerl, trying to convince both himself and Emerl he isn't dying... it's such a shame Sonic isn't allowed to be this vulnerable normally, it's a really nice touch.

The plot got real serious at the end. The possibility of them all dying... It sets a real dark tone at the end. It's sad, but I think the ending of Sonic Advance 3 really brings this story to a close with a happy ending. Because at least we can remember Emerl through Gmerl who protects and plays with Cream at the end.

It was a different plot entirely that's why. Professor Gerald's second plan that was found out was to use the Giziod or "Emerl" to destroy the world. 🌎

The Death Egg was introduced before the Arc. This makes Eggman more of a threat for relying on his own machinations. Also, the Arc was already stopped. Eggman would be a clown for trying the same thing twice.
