You have some of the best videos on KZbin for the 1/6 hobby. Would love to see a video showing how you would repair pleather peeling and damage to a figure like this. Or even Vader. Would be monumental for the hobby and the quality would certainly be top notch.

I second this, look forward to every video that comes out. There’s like 3 other channels out of 200 I’m subscribed to I feel that way about

Interesting, repairing pleather… I’d more than likely have to intentionally buy a cracked/peeling leather component to see how I’d do it, because I’ve never had the issue. I maintain some of them though and can show that off if you’d like.

@@Obscurewatchcollector Thank you for this! Makes us wan to go that much harder reading comments like these. One of the better people to ask what you think of content changes per series, etc. Hopefully it felt like a BC video, but did it feel different enough while being cohesive to what we do, in your opinion?

Not a problem, happy to help! Glad we were able to swing a video for you if you were feeling the heat of the day last week. I know this one was a bit of a slower paced video, but I'm glad it was enjoyable. I've always wanted to try piecing together a military figure. So much detail in a lot of those pieces by way of sights, etc.
@daniel_sc10246 ай бұрын
@@BostonCollectors Lately I have been concentrating on WWII figures; they're relatively easy; DiD (Dragon-in-Dreams) has been producing a lot, and finding loose parts for them is relatively easy. The challenging part is aways making sure it's all correct (this insignia goes with this uniform, etc.). Modern military can be more complicated, they have so much more stuff! And the tiny wires for their communication equipment can be a nightmare. 😮

Where can I get these parts to make Anakin? This is exactly what I want to do.
@BostonCollectors6 ай бұрын
I bought my parts from Toy Anxiety, but I'd keep an eye out on Monkey Depot as well. Toy Anxiety works a bit differently though, sometimes they'll go a while without parting anything out and on super rare occasions they'l part out grails. Monkey Depot, on the other hand, strictly part out new figures from what I gather.

Is the Dark Side Anakin head compatible with the newer Clone Wars body? The proportions look a bit better on the newer body and it might be a worthy upgrade to my Dark Side Anakin. I do prefer the shorter hair too from the CW version, but I love those Sith eyes too much to replace it.
@BostonCollectors6 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, no. If you're comfortable enough to change the neck adapters, then you'd be able to though. His chest looks a lot fuller though on The Clone Wars body compared. Although, come to think of it... You could still buy The Clone Wars body and see if you could swap out the neck piece in the chest. I did it with my Captain Rex, so I can't confirm if it would work with a figure from 2018 and 2021. The process isn't too bad, but all you need is a screwdriver.
@billyjenkins79516 ай бұрын
@@BostonCollectors That sounds like a good option. I'll definitely leave the head alone since it's such a grail piece, but I could investigate swapping out the neck piece in the CW body's chest... I would just have to research how to do that since I have never done anything like that. I could also just add padding and such to the original body, but I'll think on that. Thanks for your help, and for another wonderful video. You are my favorite 1/6 KZbinr for good reason :)
@BostonCollectors6 ай бұрын
@@billyjenkins7951 I'll have to look into doing a video showcasing that. I'm not sure when since I've already done similar things before with my custom Darth Maul. I'm sure something will come up. Bro I love your attention to detail,but I bet the money you spent kit bashing you could have bought an Anakin outright.
@BostonCollectors6 ай бұрын
Thank you! Buying any version of Anakin is one thing, but it isn't this one since Hot Toys never made it. Buying a Light Side Anakin outright would've been roughly $300, but you'd still need the right boots, portrait, body, belt, hands and gauntlet for this look. That would set you back much further if you were to tackle it that way.
