The blue repaint of the original Robocop figure is simple, yet very effective. However, it's the accessories that really make the figure stand out and a must-own. The Jetpack, the gun-arm, and the Cobra Assault Cannon really add to it and are the main drawing point, I think. A blue Robocop by himself would have been nice, but you're getting a lot more bang for your buck with the add-ons.

This review convinced me to get this figure. Having the blue variant is nice to have alongside the Mafex Robocop from The ‘87 film.

I always thought for the longest time that the blue Robocop looked better but after you compared the two, I think I actually like the silver more now. I have the spring-loaded silver Robocop, so I'm quite happy. Thanks for that comparison, Spot. Now I have that clarity.

I remember getting this as my first Robocop figure from Books-A-Billion and one of his legs broke off, was able to return it and get my money back. Then I bought a replacement at the same time I got the standard Robocop VS Terminator Robocop with the Flamethrower (From a different Books-A-Million), and the legs on both figures where fine. Never had a problem with the legs on any other figure after that, not even on the Ultimate figures or the figure based on how Murphy looked in the Robocop VS Terminator comic. But still wish the arms on the Jetpack had more articulation so they'ed be flush with his arms. or just more articulation general on the Robocop figures in general.

I feel like I'm the only one who enjoyed the 2014 remake! Great new take on the character. I really hope NECA produces figures from the 2014 RoboCop somewhere along the line. Didn't care much for the black armor, but I would love to see a NECA figure in the silver armor!

Great review man. This version of Robocop really seems more in line with Robocop 2 which makes me happy. This Robocop is my favorite next to the battle damage version. My only worry is that since the jetpack is heavy that it may weaken the torso joint over time. That's why I decided to display the figure without it.

No, it's definitely more in line with Robocop 3. Robocop had a bluer color scheme in both films, but the jetpack and gun-arm are straight out of the third movie.

All the gun arms seem to be missing the barrel of the machine gun part on top. I thought it was just mine but it seems NECA somehow missed that detail on all of them.

I think it would look better if you put the gun arm on the silver Robocop just because it looks more accurate because Robocop wasn't all that blue in Robocop 3

ive got a question, notice its left arm shoulder joint is not in the same angular point as the right shoulder joint. when you straighten both arm forward..you can see that the left shoulder is kinda "drops" to about 30 degrees compared to the right shoulder. Is this the same for all robocop figures ?

I think I like the colouring a bit more on this one, plus its got the benefit of having the backpack, Ive actually gone back and re looked at all these figures and brought in other Robos for comparisons if you wanted to check out those videos?

It's a pretty good movie on it's own. Definitely a lot better than Robocop 3. But when compared to the original Robocop and, in some cases, even Robocop 2, it's not great as Moviemagic said. It lacks the brutal violence and satire that made the original so memorable and special.

I would too, but I heard they stated they had no interest in doing Cain. I hope they come around and change their minds. Especially since they did ED, which I'm sure a few years ago they never thought they'd do.

SlasherIncorporated I remember reading somewhere a few years back that Neca said they would never do ED-209 as it wouldn't sell so never say never, I'd love to see Cain in robot form.

GazFunkstar I believe it. Also, I bet the size of ED had something to do with it as well. NECA was against doing larger-scale figures in the past, as it would be more expensive. That's why the Boomers from their Gears of War line weren't proper scale. There were about as tall as the regular characters. I'm glad they recently changed their minds about that. NECA has really grown over the years: Adding more articulation to the figures (especially movie ones), tackling bigger characters, and really expanding on their licenses.

SlasherIncorporated Very true, I've just received the NECA original '68 Planet Of The Apes set and the articulation and sculpts on the characters (especially the Gorilla Soldier) is second to none, absolutely stunning. It really is a great time to be a collector of movie figures and as you say NECA have upped the ante and really grown to be at the top of their game.

GazFunkstar Well said, friend. NECA is definitely becoming THE company to collect figures from, for anybody who's into this sort of thing as we all are. The majority of the figures in my collection come from NECA. The only thing I wish they would do at this point is take more risks, so to speak. They've refused to do a lot of figures either because they believe there isn't enough interest, or they personally aren't interested.

I have 3 NECA Robocops: The original spring-loaded holster version, the "video game appearance" version and the Robocop 3 version. I love all 3 of them even though they're the same figure.

The jet pack arms are suppose to articulate in two places. And stick to the side of the figure arms (not holding the yellow rails) So I modified mine.

I love Robocop 3 even if Robert John Burke was Robocop. I didn't like Robocop 2, I love the left Rocket launcher gun & jet packet, Robocop 2 for me is like Nightmare 2 Freddy's revenge, they don't fit, they don't make sense, but I like Freddy's revenge better, I love this figure & all.
