Absolutely. The new voice is absolutely the final nail in that coffin. Anytime this one speaks, the glaringly lame voice is so particularly distracting.

@@carnolasluggs5417 To be honest Peter Weller was supposed to come back as RoboCop for the 3rd movie but due to his commitment of the movie Naked Lunch, he couldn't be in 2 places at once so the filmmakers couldn't wait for him to do this film but on the bright side, the new Robocop: Rogue City video game takes place between RoboCop 2 and 3 with Pete Weller returning to his iconic role. Also as much as I feel Weller is the soul of Robocop, I don't think Robert John Burke deserves to be insulted as much as he gets. Granted it was a bad movie, but he played the character well enough that I can give him respect for it. They cut the budget, wrote an awful script, and yet he still made Robocop more believable.

@@vitoldwisniewski I'd read one of the reasons Burke was cast is he had the right proportions to fit the suit. The way they get his voice sounding in the film is awful, but I don't mean to insult him personally. He's done some really great work since Robo2, definitely a talented performer. I don't think ANY actor would have lived up to Weller replacing him in the 3rd film.

I remember being pissed when i watched this because they clearly nerf Robocop's durability. He tank so much damage in the first 2 movies, and then suddenly it feels like his armor is made from plastic.

Man oh man EVEN as a little kid who managed to see this one in its original theatrical release, that glaring arm in black spandex wrenched behind his back that's clearly visible multiple times bugged me. Though I guess today's over-saturation of CGI enhancement, I now find some charm to it.

Half of it is also because it was a suit not suited to the actor's physical size (you can see where the head's literally too small for the helmet). Nowhere near as good as the first one, but honestly, for a Robocop movie aimed for kids, it at least did the job (ROBOCOP 2 was a literal mess in script, which made a ton of little vignettes that were interesting, but never made a full out movie, let alone a good one).

ok, we must recognize that the actor acted splendidly, giving us the impression that he really is a cyborg with the difficulties and limitations of the heavy armor, he is just a guy in a heavy and warm suit, no CGI or computer effects here.

This iteration of Robocop movie was specifically made for kids. Back then kids LOVED Ninja's and obviously Robots, on top of that the movie had a kid hacker girl so that they could relate to someone young in the casting. Me a 13-14yo kid at the time was not so impressed as the movie felt like it was trying TOO HARD to appeal rather then just being Robocop.
