They would have to replace him again very quickly, and I don't think they want to keep swapping actors out. This is a franchise that will last for infinity and beyond, so they need someone that can provide the voice for years.

@NorthStars the Steagle I don't know! She was more of a background character with fewer lines and this kind of led to the reason she wasn't in 3. The Voice Actress wasn't happy with the pay deal and the team didn't see her character as important enough to negotiate especially as Jesse would dominate the role. If anything I think an evolution in her personality will bring her more up to being relatable with this generations young audience and could make her more story worthy for the millennials. I think her old personality was OK but is probably a bit outdated as she was the damsel in distress character.

I actually agree with your theory on the main plot. Here's my theory on the ending... After their main adventure, they return home to that girl Bonnie that was their new owner at the end of Toy Story 3. Since almost 10 years have passed, she is probably too old now to play with the toys. The end scene has Andy (about 28 years old now) drive up to his mom's house to visit with a wife and son that's maybe around 3 years old. Bonnie sees the little boy and returns all of Andy's toys, so they can start over again with Andy's son!!! Bo, who probably didn't go back initially with the group will ultimately come back after seeing this happen from afar. The last scene will then have Andy giving Woody to his son, and telling him how it was his favorite toy when he was his age. The little boy will fall in love with Woody, and as Andy walks away, his son will say..."Daddy, can you play with me?" Andy will pick up Woody and start playing with his son just like he did in the opening scene of the first Toy Story. (A flashback will likely occur) The story will come full circle, the sad music will start to play and everyone will bawl their eyes out!! BOOM!!! Toy Story 4!!! End of a great series!

Great video! Just a thought, but Lotso's primary story (along with Big Baby and Chuckles the Clown) is that he was a lost/left behind toy, much like Buzz and Woody were in the first film. Its unlikely they'd turn Bo Peep into an antagonist like Lotso, so I'm curious to see how her story unfolds! She was one of my favorite characters in the franchise, so I'm excited that she's back! My guess is that she was thrown out when she broke her arms (since she's technically a part of a porcelain lamp) and escaped from there.

Oakley Brighton Animation and character design are different. Perhaps a movie with the original porcelain Bo Peep model would have been difficult to work around with for action scenes, but was there really any need to update her face as well?

Pixar has definitely improved on newer animations at practically Every toy story movie and we haven't realized that until Bo Peep's new look. They are giving her the Wreck It Ralph 2, Princessy look, I call it. Didn't even all the princesses get a new look as well currently ever since the Rapunzel movie? They all look alike, but different skin tones and apparel. They just want to have her look current to how they design the females to look. We don't see it in Woody, or Buzz, etc because we are used to their look so easily since they and other familiar characters are more shown in the movies. Bo Peep was only in the 1st and 2nd movie. I feel that if she were in every one of them, we seriously wouldn't mind the new look. I don't mind it, but nothing beats the original I am glad she is returning.

neo zeon She was a porcelain doll whose display stand was a night light/lamp. She belonged to Molly as a baby. Andy always used her as a toy and in the fourth movie they explain that anything that’s played with as a toy can come to life. That’s why Sporky is there to explain that to us. Bonnie creates him at school & she plays with him at home which is how he comes into the picture. That theory also explains how Bo Peep (a lamp) came to life even tho she wasn’t a real toy to begin with.

See, this guy knows how its done. He did his research, he backed it up, he brought it out clear and concise. This is how you do it. Good job man. The only downside I could see is I'm not sure about the outfit. The others could change outfits cause they're made out of fabric but wasn't Bo made out of porcelain? or some other breakable material? which we learn about in the first movie. Woah! Bo looks bad ass now! I am curious to find out what happened to her to cause this change in character though. I also like the updates they made to her face, it looks like they made her look prettier somehow. I am sorry about the damage to her arms and shepherd's crook/Bo-Peep staff though (Huh? Bo-Peep staff? See what I did there?), but at least she has found a way to mend them, even though she is porcelain and that tape, or whatever it is, shouldn't be strong enough to hold her together through whatever she has been forced to endure. I also look forward to Annie Potts returning to voice Bo again. Thanks for this video, it is awesome!

Bo Peep was wearing a purple cape in the merchandise, similar to the purple cape Bonnie was wearing in the clip you briefly showed of her, which would suggest that she eventually becomes Bonnie's toy.

Also notice how in one of the clips that Bo is talking to Woody, you can see frilly ends of pant legs underneath her dress, just like her new design. I think she got lost, or abandoned, as you theorized, and ripped off her dress, realizing how much it wasn't a help in her reality, where she must fend for herself.
