I'm glad I grew up with friends that loved to share their toys, and were always fun to be around even without any toys at all. The 1970's was a Groovier Time.

I am always amazed at how well preserved some of the toys sold at these markets are. That Red Tornado is going to make his friend extremely happy. The fact that someone looked after that cape for all these years is nothing short of incredible.

I haven't been to a Toy Collectors fare in nearly 30 years brings back some old memories for me!☺Growing up through the 70's/80's apart from Dr Who, Star Trek & Space 1999 etc... I also liked Buck Rogers and The Black Hole, I had a clockwork Vincent Toy and some Buck Rogers Toys including both Large & Small Corgi Starfighters, some role play stuff including a belt & helmet set with a light up Twiki figure and one of these sets included a chrome plated hollow Starfighter, I remember I always wanted a Wilma Deering figure!😊😉 As Always another Great video Brian, Keep up the Good work!😁👍

The music and "wipes" have moved into the next level. I thought you were going home with the Star Trek Phaser water pistol but alas it was a McGuffin! The Operation Crossbow comic would have been what I took home. Love that you are into things that are inexpensive like Canadian Mego.

Some interesting resin and vinyl model kit build-ups at the 11:00 mark! Really something that you don't see that often at an antique mall.

I have that toy book! Over the last decade plus I’ve searched out & purchased nearly all of the known toy & collectibles books published since the 90’s, which could be found on Amazon Canada and eBay for MUCH cheaper prices than they are now. It kinda came as a result of selling off parts of my collection over time, but still needing that “catalogue” type fix that’s been jonesing me since the mid 70’s Christmas editions from Sears, Eaton’s & Consumers Distributing. My motto became: If I can’t afford to own these plastic pieces of my childhood, or I sold it, then dadgummit I can at least have (as you said Brian) an analog version I can return to and look through.

I used to enjoy going to antique malls when the toy hype was not as big as it is today. You could usually find a booth or two with old Mego figures, Micronauts, GIJoe and, if you were lucky; GIJoe equipment or a huge vehicle. Prices were fair and you could find stuff to complete your collections or maybe a grail or two. Nowadays, I go to the antique mall in Edmonton and gasp at the prices for a broken shell of a Star Wars toy, notice all the old Star Wars figures locked away and treated like rare gems and a boxed vintage toy is removed from a case and held high like Simba at the beginning of the Lion King.

I had that Star Trek watergun back in the day. I'd spend my afternoons phasering myself in my mouth for a sip of water. Sanford and Son's looked like a great place! Also I think I might have contributed some pictures for that Action Figure book back in the day... I guess I should dig my copy out and look.

Every single time there is a VINTAGE TOY SHOW in my area: It's 79% Funko Pops and Star Wars (2000-2023) / re-issue Aurora model kits . And one or 2 "vintage old guys" with CRAZY HIGH prices on Low End Megos (Wizard of Oz loose / dirty / played with , Zira naked, Farrah doll with her hair chopped off) .

Tiger Man, Princess Ardalla's bodyguard/male concubine. A show ahead of it's time. Speaking of classic t.v., Supermad Toys put out two Six Million Dollar Man figures about 3-4 years ago. If you've never seen them, they're amazing (a track suit version and a "Bigfoot Safari" hunter version). Both have several youtube vids you might be interested to watch.

13:25 1990s prices ! LOL ! Funny story ; a few months ago I was at the flea market and scored a STACK of Toy Shop tabloids/newspapers at a local flea market . 1990 - 1992 era. I was imagining ALL kinds of CRAZY cheap prices and OODLES of RARE toys going for CHEAP . WOW was I wrong!! the early 1990s was when Adult Toy Collecting was FULLY in place in our society . The guys that had RARE stuff wanted TOP DOLLAR (it was like flexing your "toy muscle") . Some of the ads - were AUCTIONS . Lots of the tuff for sale was new-ish like Pee Wee Herman, Dick Tracy , MASH, & Return of the Jedi (Jedi was barely 9 years old!!) . And basic stuff like Charlies Angels dolls and lunch boxes and Soakys and board games. Total let down.
