I have a suggestion on your body mounting situation. Why not use some rare earth magnets (dime size) glued to some tabs mounted to the body then a couple of flat washers glued to the top of the diffusers. It's easy enough to remove the body yet strong enough to keep the body from flying off. Just an idea . Great job, I can't wait to see it on the test drive.

JohnnyQ90 managed to get an extra 4k rpm out of his by lapping the valves. Apparently, they are pretty darn leaky out of the box. Awesome build man. I hope we can get to see her drive around soon. And I mean some real driving, not 5 mph round the parking lot as so many people seem to do with these cool multi cilinder rc's.

Wow,! that's some incredible craftsmanship, air suspension is pretty awesome and the compressor is pretty silent, everything has came out perfectly Dennis. once you get the body mounts sorted it will be seamless! Paul Walker would have definitely approved of this build (RIP).

If the starter won’t turn outside of the installation then it might have a short or deformation of sorts but if it only stalls and then runs fine only while installed then something is causing a bind that is just too much for it to start turning. Depending on what type of motor it is, they sometimes fight themselves at start and then run very efficiently. Like a fan. Just found your channel and I really like your project here. Cool work!!!

This is sooo sweet! You're the man, man. I just finished carving out the trunk, both doors and the front bumper off my r34 1/5 scale body for ease of use and to be honest I'm going Lexan for the windows to lighten up the body since the stock tinted windows is kinda heavy. Anyhow, while I'm designing and 3D printing the scale chassis I need to make you a set of some matching side mirrors.

Yeah those windows are really heavy and all the extra window material doesn't help lol It will be cool with opening doors and trunk! super scale!

@@dennisdempseyradiooutofcontrol it's a 1/3rd lighter without the tinted windows and that huge piece of black plastic behind the front bumper! Once I get my Baja disk brakes in the mail I'm designing and 3D printing rims and tires that fit like the original since a good fit seems like a challenge otherwise. Great work on your end cause you're def on it! I found some 10 mmm bore pneumatic cylinders on Amazon for $4 each with a 20mm stroke that's no Airmatic system but possibly could be so check those out.

Thank you my friend! this is the Nikko 1/5 scale low end kids toy from the early 2000's I have had this vision in my head since I bought my first Tamiya Bruiser back in 1985, the whole body and chassis was super real scale except the boring electric motor, the rest took many years to where we now have super scale 4 stroke engines to stuff in these old school bodies👍

I'd be worried about that steering system being exposed when you bottom out it's going to Crunch it.. somehow put it inside the frame so it isn't in danger of bottoming out onto the ground

Dennis I think your chassis will need more structure, for instance my full size vehicle, bmw 330i, people often add chassis brace or even a full size roll cage. I think maybe a full floor pan and some pan bracing will be enough for your gtr there.
