Nice progress brother! My belt sheared a few teeth also, the starter bracket is adjustable, but the starter has to come off first to get to the screws.

Here’s an idea. Instead of varnishing the bodywork, perhaps you could put some clear vinyl film on the sections that get splashed with nitro fuel. The clear vinyl I’m referring to is the type used to protect full size cars from stone chips. Worth a try, it might save the paintwork.

Yes I did make the hinges but so much work as there are cams an springs in them
