My sister just passed away, today was her funeral. I haven't been on KZbin or anything else until right now. Watching your video helped get my mind off of reality. Even though it was for a few minutes it definitely helped. Thanks Toyshiz

This takes me back...the 90's were an awesome decade for comics & figurines. And Toyfare? Someone please resurrect it!!!

I always thought that Onslaught could've been a perfect X men TAS character along with Sugarman. They look to be very interesting enemies.

I had this entire wave as a kid, and while I don't have any of them anymore, I won a contest through an IG page that included this Onslaught figure, still in the package. I haven't been able to open it yet because I just love looking at him in the package and remembering how fun collecting was back then.

Nice use of those Toybiz Marvel Metal figures. Onslaught came hot off the heels of Age of Apocalypse. No sooner died AoA end do the Xmen find Juggernaut knocked from Canada to New York whispering "Onslaught's coming." They had artists like Joe Mad, the Kuberts, Jeff Matsuda, Ian Churchill, Carlos Pacheco, and Steve Skroce all on board and I was all in at the time. I also got every one of these figures. I still display that Onslaught with my current Marvel Legends. They nailed Joe Mad's art with that Apocalypse too. I'd like to see Hasbro tackle Post, Onslaught's herald. Toybiz didn't tackle him and he had a great look.

There aren’t any marvel metals in this video. But thank you for watching, and thanks for the story summary!

@@ToyShiz Well now that you say that, yeah, Xavier and Magneto in your video were too big to be Metals. I forget how tiny that set is.

beane2099 way tiny, although they are fun when you have the right playset

AOA and Onslaught happened a year apart didn't they? My memory is fuzzy, did juggernaut get punched from Canada to New York first or was it Post's appearance in X-men 50? I really need to go back and read those books again, good memories.
@dbeane434 жыл бұрын
@@symbiote1982pk Yeah, back when Lobdell was writing both X Men books he'd have an event every summer-ish and spend the year after one event building up to the next. Phalanx Covenant, Fatal Attractions, X-Cutioner's Song, AoA, Onslaught, and Operation Zero Tolerance all happened about a year apart from one another (give or take). I know I'm probably missing a couple.

I remember an interview in Toyfare and it was noted the factory screwed up Wolverine dimensions - He was supposed to be much smaller

Sounds vaguely familiar🤔 wouldn’t doubt it, that kind of thing happens still all the time. If you can remember which issue I’ll try and locate it, would be awesome! Thanks again for watching

I never got any of the toys in this particular line. I loved the crossover then, and was trying to get some of the toys of characters redesigned then (itching to get back to it), although in retrospect, some of them haven't aged well (that 90's edginess, esp. with Wolverine), lol. Some of the other redesigned characters in that timeframe were put into other toy line series... Nightcrawler in Water Wars, Storm in Robot Fighters, Bishop in Missile Flyers... not sure who else at the top of my head.

Great Review! Hope to see alot of comparisons of the Old Toybiz toys to their Modern Counterparts! Also can you give the exact inches of Vampider, Man-Lizard, Spider-Goblin, Spider-Vampire, Venom the Madness and Werewolf Wolverine. Thanks :D

They’re all about 6in or just above/below. You’ll like next weeks episode if you wanna see comparisons😉
