I am excited for 2023 ESC, this year is shaping up to be more diverse and interesting than initial thoughts. I am loving Serbia, Moldova, France, Armenia, Austria, Australia, Czechia, Latvia and Georgia. Liking many others. Both semis have something to offer. Enthused about seeing the ESC staging, styling and the performances. May can't come quick enough!

I absolutely loved this video with the one and only Joy taking part! I honestly ( after half of the songs were chosen) was thinking this was a very weak year but the last 20 songs have been absolutely fantastic! We have a strong year in Liverpool! So many amazing songs thank god! Joy, you are amazing and good evening from Barnsley 😘. Bring on the Pre parties and then Eurovision itself in May! I think her biggest downfall is just the general song, nothing new that we have not heard before, together with that “I knew it lyrics” it doesn’t do anything for me and if is true that Sweden cannot bring that spectacular stage to Liverpool due to weight regulation, I really don’t see her winning, Sweden should have brought to the table a balad or even something similar to her “Statements” song for Melodifestivalen 2017, that in my opinion was so much modern, interesting and unique than tattoo, she can sing and she is so charismatic so why not, Sweden played safe and this may come to bite them in the competition, we will see

I enjoyed your face when you saw Australia - we love them it's just so nice to have a band going (incidentally don't be shocked when you see Cyprus interviewed and he has an Australian accent!! He was in Australia Decides - he's in our final and may get through just on the Aussie vote lol). Aaaaand, Slovenian song is as political as the Swiss one, and it has, indirectly, "I don't want to be a soldier" in it. In fact, it has "ne računajte na nas" (don't count on us) as a reference to 1970s "računajte na nas" (count on us ) song by Đorđe Balašević (kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXXFgpyJpNmrn6c) . 1970's song was a dialogue between older generation who fought in the WW2 and considered the youth as too carefree and unreliable, and the singer told them something like "let us enjoy our youth, if something like WW ever happened again, you can count on us" Slovenian song is saying: "Fuck your wars, you can't count on us. We just wanna enjoy the life". The whole song is about partying, but that one sentence, that one reference, changes the tone completely.

For me personally there aren't that many songs that touch something or that I like. Though I have one or two songs I really don’t like, still I think there is no bad music, just different tastes. My top 5 would be: 5. 🇵🇹 Portugal - I love the mix between modern and old fashioned and I think it has a lot of potential for an upscaled performance in Liverpool 4. 🇲🇩 Moldova - I love the ethno-pop vibe with the underlying almost mythical elements and I liked the stage performance a lot 3. 🇦🇺 Australia - I knew I would like this one before I heard the song, just because it's Voyager and I was so happy with the song they chose, it makes me feel good every time I listen to it 2. 🇨🇿 Czechia - this has been the biggest grower for me and I like it more with every time listening to it. I like the message and I hope they up the performance or maybe even recreate some parts from the video. I really love this song ❤ 1. 🇩🇪 Germany - I just adore the band, their music and their personalties. The song is catchy and ESC appropriate and approachable even for people who normally don’t like this kind of music. The message is a powerful one, especially in times like these where tollerance and compassion often seem to get left behind. This is just MY opinion and we will see how everything plays out. I just wish that everyone has a great time and hope there won’t be so much hate among fanbases if someone doesn’t agree with an opinion that isn't their own.

I love Sweden despite the cliché lyrics! Even my boyfriend who is a metal-head and thinks lyrics are super important put Sweden on top of his ranking. I also think Georgia can be a moment on stage, again, despite the lyrics. I'm also having high hopes for Germany, as in left side of the score board. This is shaping up to be an incredible year!!

Strong year for me. My top 5 is: 1. Switzerland, 2. Cyprus(love those two well sung ballads), 3. Belgium(just adore this. Such a good vibe with a 90s Dance sound, well sung and a good message), 4. Australia(My favorite of the band/duo entries, They were my 2nd favorite behind Sheldon in Australias selection last year, so glad they are back), 5. Czechia(love how the different elements/languages come together, well sung and a good message). Yes Ireland might sound like budget U2 but I still really like it.
