Squish it so that when you cut the string the end will get sucked into the form. That way you don't have that unsightly discoloring at the spot where it was sitting.

Thanks so much for this. I was having a terrible time with sewn eyes and just couldn't get them right. For small children's toys I don't like the safety eyes because they will work their way out. I like the sewn the eyes. I love your tutorials and will be making some things shown here.

Thank you! As an absolute beginner I wonder whether sewing the eyes before stuffing the head is easier. Would like to know if anyone's tried that.

It's just that you have to hide the tail ends after embroidering the eyes. Hope it helps you. ❤️

Won’t the sleeping eye come off since the thread is not tied down to anything?

Most probably it doesn't come out. As it's secure inside the polyfill. If you want you can definitely tie the thread.

I have used Acrylic yarn of medium weight. It's Red heart super saver yarn.

@@chingbiaklian4537 The exact color for Head is Peach color it's either in Red Heart Super Saver yarns or Loops and Threads yarn. Sometimes Michaels has a Craft Smart yarn which I love the most. But they are all acrylic yarns of medium weight.
