From experience it’s pretty tough to find a recovery company that’ll do anything like Matt does. I got stuck memorial weekend above flat ant road in northern Utah and we had to hike 22 miles out and leave my truck for a day after we had helicopters and search and rescue teams looking for us because the wife was freakin out. We called every recovery company we could and after giving gps coordinates they all refused luckily we found one that would winch us out the 2 feet we needed to get off the diffs for 1600 dollars which was a great company and a cool guy but I won’t name them here out of respect for Matt but luckily we have state farm insurance and they have great off-road recovery coverage and we got reimbursed the full amount but it definitely had me regretting going north instead of going south to sand hollow Matt’s area like we were thinking about. Lol it was a good time the wife calls them bad choices I call them good times but I’ll remember to go south so that Matt can pull me out next time.

Ben Johnson lol me neither until I needed it. The recovery company we ended up using had us call our insurance and ask them if they’ll cover it. From what the recovery guy said he said state farm insurance is almost the only insurance that’ll cover it he said geico and progressive will occasionally cover it if it’s nothing too crazy. You do have to have full coverage to get it though and state farm you kinda have to talk them into full coverage if you’re in an older car or truck. They originally said that I can only get liability on my 1990 f250 because it wasn’t worth having full coverage on something that old but I had to tell them I’m not going through them if they won’t give me full coverage. The part of state farm that covered it was just the towing coverage.

The abuse that both you and Paul subjected your rigs to during this recovery were incredible. It's a tribute to the fabrication expertise that both of them held together as well as they did. Who knew that the combined weight of both the trailer and it's load the razor "Wildcat" would cause so much resistance. However, it's jobs like this were experience really come into play.
