Toyota Auris D4D 2 0 EGR Valve Cleaning

Little pack of 3 brushes from the fong kong shop works well, one nylon, one "brass" and one steel brush, and cheap enough that you can cut them in half to get in fine places. EGR pipe you take it, put masking tape over the one end, and a handful of coarse sand into the pipe, and tape the other end. Then shake it for 5 minutes, and it will be bright shiny again, with black sand that you wash out. EGR valve also tip is to take scan tool, and command EGR valve to fully open with ignition on, and then pull power. That will allow you to clean the seat as well, getting the last bit of dirt out. Yes you probably do have dirty injectors, and a quick and easy thing is to pour 250ml of 2 stroke oil into the tank, to provide extra lubrication. But does look like either time for a Free state tune up to do a decoke, or you have a very clogged diesel particulate filter in the exhaust, which can be checked with a simple pressure gauge in the place of the first oxygen sensor. There are specs for the allowed pressure at RPM for this. If it has only been doing short trips time to do 100km on the freeway, at over 100kph, which will get that filter hot enough to self clean itself. Fix if clogged is a new one, or a hole through the matrix.
