Not sure why so much hate on the hybrid. I’ve had a 2014 hybrid Camry and it’s taken me to school every single day and I’m still using it to this day for my final year of college. Fantastic mileage even 10 years later and never had any issues besides the basic maintenance. Exact same as a gas car, pumps gas at the gas station just like any other, hybrid and electric probably are just scary words for people who are stuck in the past

Just bought my wife a new Lexus NX350h hybrid. Our first hybrid. I will be buying hybrids only from now on. My 2017 Lexus ES350 just hits 41k and I am looking forward for the next gen ES hybrid as a replacement in the next couple of years.

I don't think there's much dispute about performance and reliability of Toyota hybrids. I owned a 21 Venza hybrid for three years. I traded it in for a non-hybrid 24 Camry. And even though I traded out of a hybrid, I would still recommend it to others. Having said that, the problem with Toyota's all-in for hybrids is that hybrids aren't the right vehicle for everyone, including myself. If you're a low mileage driver, if you live in a cold climate, and if you live in a state that adds a hybrid surcharge to the vehicle registration, you won't get any benefit from owning a hybrid. Low mileage on a hybrid causes the battery to deplete at a quicker rate, cold weather doubles your fuel consumption, and Wisonsin's $75 yearly hybrid tax cuts into your fuel savings. And yet, Toyota decided that anyone who buys a Camry must have a hybrid. Then do the math. If you take a car that's built to last 25 years with a battery made to last 15 years, how much of your fuel savings will be applied to the extra expense of the added $2000 for the car plus another $5000 to replace the battery?

@@gop4usa12I live in Florida, so I benefit from not having a hybrid tax and a warmer climate throughout most of the year. I also make 40+ mile drives several days per week. Not too concerned about replacement of the battery, since battery costs for hybrids and other electric vehicles in general are expected to go down over time.

I have a non hybrid 2015 XSE. Totally great car. Just the right size. I believe that Toyota has perfected the hybrid power train and should be very reliable. And amazing mileage. I'm actually more interested in the Crown Signia coming next year.

Congratulations on the new car . I own a 2020 Toyota Camry xse silver with black roof and red gut and I love it I’ve owned it for few years now and I love it . Of course certain things could always be better but overall I love my car I just wish they didn’t change the 8 speed transmission for some reason I don’t like it as much as the last one .

I had a 2019 toyota camry se which I loved. It got hit by a truck so I got a 2024 camry xse awd and I never thought I'd like it more then my 2019 but I do. I had the trd lip kit on my se but I think the xse looks better without it. Just gonna tint the windows and call it good.

I love my ‘21 Camry XSE. I was considering on buying the new 2025 Camry but after seeing a 360 of it, I’ll pass. I want my car to look as symmetrical as possible. The dual twin tail pipe on the left and right side is the only feature that should never be missing for a sport model. If Camry can find a way to incorporate that feature with an AWD Hybrid engine and the black grill, I’m buying 2. Maybe 3

Toyotas are awesome quality vehicles. I had a 2015 Avalon limited. Happy to see the new upgrades but the V6 engine will be missed. They have an opportunity to create a more powerful version with the new EV technology available. Hope that is the case in the near future.

I have a 2024 Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE. I paid $25,000 total out the door cash. I have zero debt. I’m getting 52-60 MPG in the city. For $25,000 it’s a perfect car. I can’t say enough good. We also paid cash for a 2024 Toyota Camry Hybrid LE. We paid $30,500 cash for it. If we like the 2025s we might trade both in for them….all cash deals of course. Go Toyota.

I've seen enough of a difference with a hybrid's performance and consumption during cold months that I agree hybrid/electric isn't the end all be all. Classic engines still have a place, whether or not the legislation reflects it or not. I'm getting one of the last V6 engines on the Camry by upgrading my 2023 XSE 4vyl just because I want options to handle whatever weather comes our way. And it's more fun to drive.

IV seen toyota hybrids with E-CVT’s still working from 12-20 years old. It’s good quality top on hybrids and E-cvt. Not a normal cvt . Yes you have the battery replacement, but you don’t have a battery, starter, alt, etc, the brakes last way longer and you save ALOT on gas. So it’s 1 for 1. And you should be changing your transmission oil atleast every 50k miles anyways if you plan to keep it forever.

​@@swllz I had an Avalon for 20 years. Driving back forth to LA often . Never let me down. Filled gas, check oil regularly giving it the 91 grade gasoline always. It's strong as a wild horse. Died on it's 20th BD due to a major crash caused by a neglected driver. It was almost 300k miles in service.

The new Camry just looks like a Prius with an extra chromosome. For a company that prefers to never take giant leaps they really dropped the ball on this one. The front grille looks like the crown but made worse, the outgoing model looks infinitely more aggressive and better overall. Mechanical/analog dials and switches are just better, and for a brand like Toyota that taught its reliability, anything electric is a downgrade to that reliability. Anything CVT is an absolute deathnell for a car, see how well Nissan’s CVT transmissions have been holding up. A hybrid power train tells me that it will be expensive to maintain beyond 150,000 miles, even if it is a Toyota. With the total elimination of the V6 Tacoma something like this really should have been pretty obvious but Honda/Acura is dominating the market in the US over Toyota. Make a GR camry that’s just better or can compete with the Type R. The Integra Type S is a US exclusive, what’s stopping Toyota from doing the same with a GR Camry? Between this and the interior of the Lexus, which looks like it hasn’t changed since 2010, this is a weak offering.

It has been known that Toyota Camry Hybrid models only make up 16 percent of all Toyota Camry sales. Having sold annually between 200,000 to 300,000 Camry's of all powertrains and trims it can be said the average is estimated that 48,000 Camry Hybrids were sold each year for the last 8 years. With Toyota going all in on Hybrid for its 9th Generation 2025 Camry models that will and should result in much less sales figures that could result to 80,000 Camry Hybrids being sold compared to the typical average of 250,000 total of all Camrys. Toyota has self destruct! Reason as most people bought non-hybrids rather than hybrids. I firmly believe this is the end of the Camry. Just remember that the Corolla is pathetic and the Toyota Crown is a Clown.

Yeah I have the 2020 Toyota Camry xse , silver with black roof and red seats and I love my car I didn’t care for the hybrid at all . Maybe because I’m not educated enough with the whole hybrid and electric cars but I just liked the gas one and I felt like if something goes wrong with that hybrid I can only imagine prices to fix the car and probably only certain mechanics are experienced with it , making it harder to find someone to work on it ,but again I don’t know much when it comes to the hybrid cars.

Extremely ugly in and out 2023 camry especially the nonsense Y shape design dashboard....viewing angles are terrible due to low roof height and sloping front and rear winfshield...rear windshield glass too tiny as well....center console awkward to open due to weird lid design....2025 looks 25 % better but the nicer 8 speed auto transmission is now replaced with terrible ECVT no driving pleasure....the exterior of 2025 camry still has the ugliness designs and curves from 2023 - 25 camry the rear sides still look almost same.....the window trim still looks exact same goes straight and then curves up towards both ends....Ugly and big cars Camry
