I used Aisin on my 08 Ody, was great and no complaints about them.

Rock Auto has fantastic pricing on Aisin component kits. When I do a component kit I also replace camshaft and crankshaft seals. When the car is over ten years old the seals can be rock hard.

If they are not leaking don’t touch them. You could cause an oil leak by replacing the seals.

Negative. For Honda/Acura, the timing belt is Unitta & the water pump is Yamada, both made in Japan. I have used the Aisin kit once via Amazon and it was of high quality but the belt was Mitsuboshi like Bundy's, and the water pump was Aisin, not Yamada. For most people it makes sense to go with the Aisin kit, but I stopped using it because the price is just not right (too cheap for what they have in the kit). I pay extra $200-$300 for genuine OE. Beware of similar kits that are made in China and sold at $100-$150. A lot of people had permanent engine damage due to the belt/pulley failure.

OK, no more Gates. I had once used reinforced timing belt made by Gates, USA (blue color). Long story short, Unitta (Honda/Acura OE timing belt) and Mitsuboshi were stronger than the Gates. Gates developed cracking in less than 3 months. I caught it by accident; oil pump housing & oil pan re-seal. Both Unitta & Mitsuboshi looked new after 60,000 miles.

^ Just installed 2 gates belts 'and alternator slider block tensioner) in customer '99 Camry XLE 3.0 (206,000 miles) Because it had original belts; power steering belt broke and took out the AC belt, customer drove home on battery and no power steering. Labor was 140.00. During further inspections, EGR is clogged; showing code, shift link cable is stuck, Vacuum line ends are cracked or disconnected and needed re-cut, dirty wrong coolant, firewall side of engine valve cover and head gasket both sweating oil, during timing belt inspection I noticed it was glazed, dry rotted and cracked every 1\4th inch on back side and every gap on groove side; about to snap.. (original 206k miles) Told customer he needs a timing belt kit, not to drive or start the vehicle until replaced and why. Customer was quoted 1900.00 from shop, I told him 350 plus parts, AISIN timing kit wins the timing gig. "For 1900 I will pull this engine out to clean it up and fix the oil leaks, new head gasket and bolts for the leaking head, valve cover gaskets, oil pan re-seal, oil change, power steering pump and hoses, timing kit with water pump, cam seals, crank seal, EGR and sensor, thermostat, coolant, oil, power steering fluid and transmission drain\fill." I think some shops are scared to work on engines. lul. --edit- I did the full timing kit with water pump and cam seals, crank seal, thermostat, coolant, EGR cleaning and fixed the seized at starter pinch bracket shift cable for 480.00 labor, he paid me 550.00, He didn't want to fix the oil leaks but I went ahead and tightened the oil pan and rear valve cover bolts which were loose and that resolved the oil leaking for now.

Yep stick to an Aisin timing belt component kit. Stay away from Gates. Had 2 Gates water pumps seize after 60,000 miles, wiped out the engine cause it was an interference engine.
