Toyota Celica Part 19 - Fuel pump

I thought I would take a look at the fuel pump and check the the filter on the inlet isn't clogged up (it wasn't). It was also an opportunity to assess the general condition of the fuel tank and it looks to be quite clean. I'm happy that there's nothing obviousy wrong with the fuel pump and it one more thing to eliminate in my diagnosis for the running problem.
PLEASE NOTE: I'm just a DIY mechanic. I try to do things correctly but somethimes I have to managed with what I have. Please treat this video as a "how-I-did-it" rather than a "how-to".

Any ideas on what else could be the cause of the Celica not running right? Looking forward to moving on to the Dolomite.

I was at the local garage (Project Bimmer is having a new rear brake pipe fitted for the MoT) and one of they guys there said that it could be the coil which is the only ignition part I haven't replaced so I'll fit a new one. According to the Celica Club UK forum, it was either the vacuum hose or the injectors.

We've had car's before that come into the garage not reving right & it's turned out to be the cambelt & or chain not been put on right or jumped a tooth, Your local garage should be able to test the fuel pressure through the rev range.

I've got every confidence that the garage (CDK Motors) did the cambelt correctly. Project Bimmer is round there having a brake pipe done for the MoT. I'm gonna go after the coil next as it is the only ignition component that hasn't been renewed.

horrible lighting horrible angle. this helped me get my fuel pump out none.

Sorry about the poor lighting. It goes to show how important decent lighting is.
