Hi Sir, this is the best video i have seen on replacing clutch. Thank you. Only one problem i have after replacing the new cluth kit. The selector lever going into the gearbox will not move in or out or turn. So, i can't move the gearlever at all. I have removed the cables again, and the selector lever can't move at all. What could i have done wrong? Please help.

It seems to be an internal gearbox issue, if you dropped the gearbox while removing or fitting it and it fell on the selector lever then the shaft inside got damaged.

It is a hydraulic clutch system, not cable-operated, Kresan, I hope this answers your question.

Hi will a 1.6 clutch kit fit in a 1.3 conquest

I do not think so, Paveshan, but it will depend on the diameter and mounting holes, also the height of the diaphragm and spline count on the clutch plate centre boss all comes into play.

It could be that the selector cable controlling the reverse gear selection is faulty, or the selector rod in the gearbox needs attention.

No, it is known as an interference engine, so replace that cam belt if you are not sure when it was last done, you will save $
