I went to a a/c repair shop and they told me I should take the car in for inspection since the compressor wasn't working.. they even removed the relay and put it back but said it wasn't it! Excellent video. My relay was bad. One other thing you can do is pull the relay and jump the 2 leads closest to the rear of the car, with the key on and engine off, and AC fan on low. You’ll be able to hear if the clutch is kicking off and on as you touch the leads. If you hear the clicking it’s probably the relay.

The A/C relay and the horn Relay are the same! I swapped them and my horn didnt work.And my A/C did.Amazon Horn relay was about half price of A/C Relay and they are th he same! 5 years 50k miles $7 relay still going strong

@@RBTheMechanic My car is a 2009 Yaris and after watching your video and checking under the fuse box lid in the engine compartment, I see there is no relay unit, as in the Corolla in your video. I have checked all fuses and they appear to be good. When the on/off switch is activated, the AC light inside the on/off button in the control console does not come on, nothing happens, no fan on, no nothing, whenever I push the AC button to 'on'. Maybe you have some idea of what it could be? Thanks for any help.

Nice. One question though. Is it possible that the relay is transferring current but not 14v but much less thereby Frying the magnet coil in the compressor assembly. A mechanic fixed my ac by replacing the magnet coil only and not changing the relay. The new magnet coil also got toast in 30 minutes of use. What could be causing the coil burn, low voltage due to faulty relay?

Well it’s a pressure sensor that give feed to computer that ur system have pressure and let’s ac come on how ever try to swap the relay. It is very very common relay to go bad on these cars ... also do this. Put ur ac on have some one put the ac on for u and look to see if the radiator fans come on immediately that will indicate that ur sensor is working and have pressure let me know when u find

My 07 Corolla was cooling before I recharged it. I only recharged because on hot days it would take forever to cool. It would really only cool when I was driving on the highway (30-40mph+). So I recharged it, and think I might have over done it. Now it's worse than before. Now even when it's not hot it doesn't really cool much.

Check under hood in fuse box if it’s not there then it’s integrated in the ecm go directly to see if ac compressor got power with ac on and if it got power and dosent come on then u have bad ac compressor but do check inside and outside fuses and relays

U should hear the relay click But by telling me it gets cold and few days later back to not working that means u have leak and there is no refrigeration for ac to kick on so check for leaks and fix it use dye to trace it down with UV light

Blower blows air from all vents properly. Also the low pressure pipe gets cold but still cold air doesn't come in the cabin. Cabin filter is clean. But still compressor trips after every one second creating noise. What can be the reason . Is it low gas or relay problem?

Maybe bad clutch or I dunno. I’ll check it tomorrow for sure. It was at 30psi got up to 45psi. I changed the fuse and relay. It’ll blow cold and spin for a bit then it’ll stop spinning and blow warm.

Hello My 2007 Corolla AC switch light on and off and cooling stops too , this happens mostly when I stopped car for 10 minutes or while driving. I changed the relay also and recently I filled gas too. Please advise what I need to check??? Regards Maaz

I think ur low on Freon or have air pressure it might be u filled with can which is not the best way. So how did u fill gas?

It could be ac compressor locked up or ur idle is tooooo low

What is the possible problem if my ac compressor turns on when I start the car and stays on until I shut off the car? I also have no cold air in my vehicle. I drive a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT.

Well u need to swap out relay first it could be locked up relay or pressure issues

So I checked the relays and they were good but I think I have a variable ac compressor and that's the reason it stays on even when I shut off the AC. I also have 1 radiator fan and it does not turn on when I turn on my AC. Although it does come on for a minute or so when I unplug the ac low pressure switch.. You think its the solenoid in the compressor?

@@gilliwisemedia8353 well fan is suppose to come on and off and ac compressor suppose to come on and off but before anything u need to service the system so it can work propperly
