If you see the diamond with the exclamation point on it in the top left corner of your radio screen it means your backup camera has lost its initilazion. here is the way to fix it with the hidden service menu. This is the way to set your dynamic gridlines when they go off. NOTE: On rare occasions you can turn the wheel all the way left hold it and all the way right and hold it and it can clear it but that does not work every time. #toyota #diamondicon #technology

Thank you so much! My rav4 had this issue soI went to the Toyota service dealer and they told me that was a battery issue and the voltage was not the correct one and the camera and sensors were not working properly. They installed a brand new Toyota battery ($300) and after installing it the issue was still there, they asked me to drive around for 1 or 2 days so the system could detect the battery properly. I just found your video and worked perfectly fine. I am really pissed with the dealer… going back to them right now

So - I have a 2022 RAV4 XLE hybrid. The power up menu thing didn’t work for me BUT what got rid of the triangle was: Put the vehicle into reverse with brakes on. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the right. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left. Boom, gone. Thanks Steven for the video!

Its because the dealership is not doing their job properly. When the new car is delivered to the dealership, they need to do the PDS or Pre-Delivery Service, these are the checks that they need to do before handing over the car to the owner. These are mostly the initialisation and calibration of the equipment that was affected when the DC Cut Fuse was removed during the transport of the vehicle. These are the re-installation of the DC Cut Fuse, initialisation of seat ECU (for seat memory function), the Initialisation of Panoramic View Monitor System/360 degree camera, initialisation of parking assist monitor system/dynamic grid lines (steering angle calibration by turning the steering wheel full left and full right), activation/initialisation of Tyre Pressure Warning System (Tyre pressure decrease from over inflated to the recommended tyre pressure), removal of front towing eyelet and installation of cover, installation of plugs for under body (for corrosion protection), charging the battery/battery check and initialisation of Parking Support Brake System. If the dealership have done all these procedure before handing the car over to the owner then there should no warning fault.

Worked; however to make things simpler you don’t need to turn the car off and back on. Just hold “Audio” and turn lights on and off 3 times. You only need to turn off car to get out of menu.

I tried doing this and we don’t have access to click into camera settings. We got into an accident and a collision place worked on recalibrating the car and they aren’t able to do this either. I really don’t want to have to go to the dealership and pay more $$

Usually a bad battery, or replacement. A bump from hitting something or something hitting you. Or just the steering wheel sensor resetting. Could be alot of things.
