I just got a 2010 trail treams last summer. I cant' wait to do some mods. That's a bold move changing out the round headlights, but it's looks surprisingly slick like that. Updating the headlights is the first thing I need to do.

Yes Sir Travis, trust me you will Love them brother. Being a car designer myself I totally get the continuity the design staff put in place for their retro design & style from the original Toyota F40, but I feel its almost necessary to bring the FJ Cruiser into the future! Not only for that but functionality as well with better light output with LED, incandescent or HIDs of your choosing. Not to mention the Projector style controlled beam of light & sequential turn signals. With that said Travis, even to top it all that off the chemical composites of the new headlight lenses are far superior (against oxidation) than the original stock round lights.

so i haven't watched all your videos (yet). but i have the same blue bomber as you, and some of the same ideas. I'm going for blacked out interior, all beige is going black, all silver is going black. blue panels stay blue. ive got the teyes headunit that does 360 camera (not connected yet). i also have the same headlights as you. i had to rewire the daylight lights to always be on, (California thing) but the relays for high beam dont work, or do and normal doesnt. i swapped the leads on the relay but it doesnt work either. i finally took out the relay box that came with each light and now the lights work (either in normal or high, no idea which). just wondering if you had the same issue. nice ride.

WoW! Thats COOL!! Can't wait to see yours after everything is finished, I did run into the same problem trying to get the high beams working but just left it to figure out for another day. I was on a deadline to complete this build and free up my shop for some upcoming installs, I might need your help once things settle down to figure out the high beams in detail. That digital cluster is configured for automatic transmission? Have they made one for manual transmission?

I'm not 100% sure, but from my understanding the cluster is setup (and reads) your specific vehicle just like your stock cluster, I will send a message to Carobotor to confirm this. Thanks for the question.

A tone of work but really nice added features. Mine is a 2011 Calvery blue stock and trying to decide what to do with it. I noticed it looks like you changed the tail lights from what you put in an earlier video?? was there a reason or do they just look diferent.

Thanks for the comment & question, Its funny you asked? In an earlier video maybe part 4 or 5. I walked toward the rear on the driver side and there was condensation you could see inside that tail light!! (both were like that) I was so pissed earlier that morning when I noticed it being parked outside on a clear day, its never been in the rain or washed at that stage of the install. So at that point I figured they were defective but the warranty was already expired almost two years, most of the parts were also ordered in that time period only to be sitting on shelves & closets because of incompetent paint and body shops not repairing the roof leak. So with all that said, I searched for another set and figured because the first ones came as a package from Vland with the grill & front lights maybe they skimped on the quality. The set currently installed now are over $300.00 and are sequential like the headlights, and require a certain electrical skill level to wire them up correctly but at the end of the day I really do like the style & feature. Please keep me posted on what you decide on your 2011 Cavalry Blue FJ Cruiser, I'm here to bounce ideas off of anytime.

@@dwayneleigh9 Thanks for the info. Good move on replacement of taillights, they look better in my opinion. Added lighting, electronics and custom switches in the FJ is so cool, the knowledge it takes to do it takes time to gain I'm sure. Love to build! Enjoy it.

That's what I like brother, someone who tells me like it is and holding no punches! So the radar is because I do have a lead foot, tickets & points cost more! keep in mind I own a Red 1996 Z28 slightly modded and use to drift & drag race back in the early 80s. Lol, Blue happens to be my favorite color next to Red and the pillars being painted black with the widow trim & roof I feel blends together for my taste. The headliner that is light grey was stained to bad to clean up with damage to also, so I always felt being a off road vehicle of this caliber needed a dark headliner to match the interior so I had it recovered in black suede that's more durable and won't show stains & wear...But its only a preference. And yes I totally 100% agree with you on the shaky ass camera! 😆My apologies, I'm investing in a much better camera (with practice) to eliminate that for future videos. Thank You @UncleFjester for your comments & constructive criticism, that is one of the reasons why I subscribed to your channel months ago.
