Whatever you’re reading must be taken into context Most likely it’s an extreme build with maximum power for drag racing. In which yes, they will really break something For street use of 50-60gain, it’s not a problem

Sir, how about swapping the ECU of a VNT 2.5 to a Non-VNT 2.5 to make the VNT work? Or swapping ECU is a complicated thing. Anyways, how about on a old diesel engines like 4D56 SOHC Non-DI-D, 4JA1, etc. What kind of turbo to slap in to make it absurdly fast? Obviously not a VGT one because they don't have ECU.

I have old style 4D56 also and about all you can do is enrich the fuel trim then advance the fuel injection pump until the black smoke is almost gone. You could turbo that engine but you would save money and probably heartbreak selling that one and buying one with a turbo already.

Remap stages are BS, If it’s done properly on the dyno then that’s it. Yes the engine will take it, no problem

I had it scanned but no problems are detected. I was told to reset my ECU. Will this solve my problem in addition to gaining more HP? Salamat

How much will be the power increase if there's no intercooler on the 2.5? 120 HP is enough to let's say catch up to the competition with the mid range powerplant (toyota's 2.4, Isuzu's 1.9, ford's 2.2) of the current gen diesel engines.
