Toyota Fortuner 1KDFTV - Fuel Tank Cleaning
In this video I would quickly demonstrate how to clean the fuel tank of car. Over the years, dirt (mainly from the fuel poured) would be accumulated in the tank, so better to get it cleaned. Also note, the dirt in fuel is filtered by the fuel filter (which has to be regularly replaced) and purified fuel is sent to engine for burning.

I have a sumo victa 16 yrs old never opened fuel tank..my vehicle takes air and diesel filter gets clogged frequently ...should I clean the tank or keep it as it is??

Since it's an old car, you can get the tank cleaned once including the filter /pump inside. Other hand, if air filter is quickly getting clogged means your driving conditions are much dusty, so filter may need frequent cleaning and replacing. Same goes for fuel filter - if that clogged faster means diesel quality isn't very good. Try changing the bunk. In general, these filters are not very costly and regularly change to have a health vehicle.

It's a Fuel Strainer (fuel filter is different). In my case (Toyota Fortuner), I don't think seperately this strainer is available, but that whole assembly (consists of level gauge sensor & strainer) needs to be purchased. But a cleanup over few years should do the job.

Why not open the sending unit using the oil filter tool? That tool with the chain
