I’ve had my pearl white standard circuit car for more than 4 years, 2020 car, 55,000 miles, I’ve owned Ferrari Maserati M5 etc etc, this little Yaris is very very fast point A - B road car in all weathers. Fab car. No creature comforts just pure. Still got 45,000 warranty miles left, not one thing has been needed just service it on time.

I think that you'll love the GRY. To me it is the spiritual successor to the Subaru Impreza WRX - that is why I bought mine. For me, it is great fun, and it is wonderful to drive on-track. Since yours is already modified, you should consider having yours stickered up to look like a works rally car! A little warning when your (lucky) daughter comes to drive it. The clutches are easy to overheat because of their ceramic plate design. You get a sweet smell inside when it gets hot which is worth being alert to.

I’ve had my GR Yaris 2yrs had Litchfield suspension, tune, Akrapovic exhaust & Eventuri intake & a few other mods…it’s mega 👍…spent £15k on my mods..

I lent my oldest son (25) my GR Yaris a few months ago… suffice to say I haven’t got it back 🤦🏻‍♂️. These do spectacularly well around tight tracks like Bedford autodrome and also Brands. Pretty good around Thruxton and Castle Combe too. Forget Silverstone however…. It’s a keeper, more so since the S2 version interior has been ruined….

In my humble opinion you 've got on the most dreamy car ''fellowship'' I have ever seen... Love the fact you kept(?) the RS MK1 and try CLIO V6 for your daughters' first car . First time I saw your channel was during COVID lockdown, a random night searching new videos about RS MK1. Watched it about 30 times and just after lockdown was over, guess what.... I got mine (no 2274). Keep up the amazing content and many greetings from Greece!!

I’m guessing you have already watched the Harry’s Garage youtube channel which has three or four videos on their GR Yaris model 1 which has some Lichfield upgrades and the press launch of model 2. Personally I’m never a fan of white cars and/or black wheels, but usually beggars can be choosers when buying used and to be fair I’d take that car in any colour combo.👍

@ Yes I noticed Lichfield offer more upgrades, £15k of upgrades should be pretty comprehensive on a £35k car. It would be interesting to compare the Lichfield upgrades with the £60k Ogier/Rovanpera limited edition rally spec on the later model, just out of curiosity and to see how much bang you’ve got for your buck. Talking of rally cars, my daily for last 17 years is an 03 blobeye scooby, love the rally and rally based road cars in your collection, but as my first car (and only one I made money on) was a 1976 mark 2 escort, I always fancied a road going MST version if money was no object, nostalgia is an expensive bed fellow!👍

Hi Richard Those Gr Yaris are a super special car especially the one you just brought Just want to say when you was walking around the Porsche’s and you showed the 964 That to me and I’m sure a lot of others is the best looking Porsche ever made in my opinion I know all the Porsche’s after the 964 are better and faster and more track focused but it definitely the best looking Porsche made It has the the street cred just like a Ferrari f40 or 959. Top video as always ❤

Decent value car,not cheaply modified.Bought similiar a year ago akra,Ohlins,recaros,Eventuri,etc,sooo much more of an event to drive than a stock one.

nothing disrespectful, wouldnt this be a bit much for new learner to handle?😅 I find this gr yaris can be a bit challenging to drive slow, and biting point is on the high side. I had to adjust my seating position (a notch towards to rear) to get it right.

Why would your daughter burn the clutch out on the Clio?, unless she drives with her foot slipping the clutch, even a Renault should be fairly robust assuming it isn’t already well worn. I think she is right to learn and take her test in a manual, even if she is likely to be using an auto for most of her future driving career. As for the Yaris, brilliant car, no idea why the new normal (not special edition) model is so expensive compared to mark 1 version

The price of the GR Yaris isn't linked to the cost of production. They must have made a big loss on every car built since almost everything, including the bodyshell, is bespoke. Since the Mk1 sold out so quickly, I'm sure that they felt they could sell the Mk2 at a significantly higher price, something which isn't working out for them, from what I can see.

In a straight line all the other cars beat the GR Yaris. That gets worse against EV's, trust me ive chased Tesla's in mine. In the bends? Nothing can catch one, I've had plenty try.
