I had a 2007 Toyota Sequoia for 15 years....LOVED IT. I regularly towed a 5000 lb trailer...no problem. go with the Sequoia

Personally I love my 01 sequoia and its still running strong with cold ac at 298555 miles, and I've had to tow a couple of vehicles down off the mountains here in Colorado, my brother in law honda civic and my wife hyundai tucson, it did really well doin that, i was really surprised, plus you can take the rear seats out for Lola lol

i had two tundras and own one now. one was 4.7 like sequoia and 5.7 rock warrior. both towed from Houston to Minnesota and back with no issues. my current one has 235k miles and runs like new.

Bro you gotta check the fuses on those high end vehicles like the tundra. Unscrupulous buyers probably take out the fuses or pull out a wire, so it won't start and they buy it on the cheap.

Those 1999/2003 Yukons are the best vehicles you’ll ever own! Inexpensive to repair and repairs are few and far between! Comfortable and reliable is worth every penny in gas! My 210000 mile 2001 gets 10.5 to 15hwy. Great vehicle!!

Active Fuel Management started in 2007 on GM full sized trucks with the 5.3 and 6.2 liter engines. The 4.8 liter V8 never had it but I believe the 4.8 was discontinued after 2011 or so.

Toyota trucks are very reliable I own a 2021 tundra SR5 crewmax it’s very big inside has already over 180,000 towing miles no issues. The Toyota SUV is the same power train as the tundra just avoid the 2022 and up till they figure the issues.

I have a 2004 Sequoia Limited 2WD. Bought it from the original owner with 141k miles. It’s at 158k now. I have a 2015 Venza XLE with 28k miles. It is wonderful on the highway. However any time I travel, I go in the Sequoia. It’s comfortable, runs like a top, and sits high. Can’t go wrong with it!!

That generation GM LS based truck engine is an excellent extremely durable engine that's probably equal to or better than any Toyota engine as far as durability goes. It might have a few minor problems along the way but they just keep going and going. I'm not a fan of GM but I've owned that generation GM truck and I've owned multiple Toyotas and that's my experience. As far as the louder ticking at start up I wouldn't be too concerned about it just change the oil use good oil and the engine is probably good for another 200,000 miles. The lighter ticking at idle sounds like a fuel injector and likely not a problem. I've seen many with 400,000+ miles still on the road towing and used for hard work. The reason GM and Ford continue to vastly outsell Toyota on fullsize trucks is that their trucks were very good for decades. All trucks in the last 15 years or so have way more problems than the generations before due to complexity brought about by complying with newer government regulations.

that yukon is perfect and the ticking sound is normal it's the injectors . It's in beautiful shape . Newvsewt cover detail and lube up the window tracks and maybe s switch or regulator for the drivers window all easy fixes .
