Jimmy, there is a TSB out for these have done about 12 in the last 8 months. The TSB path varies depending on model year and symtomes. These should be able to be forced regenerated with a soot loading up to 200%. The main clue here is they will enter forced regen via a scan tool but fail but the DPF temp sensor B1S2 will only reach around 350 degrees and fail to light off then check the injector head of the 5th injector unit, if it is not embossed in the casting with the letter "D" then it has the older 5th injector unit that is prone to internal corrosion affecting the injection of deisel during regen. In this case it is a upgraded 5th injector and head unit and a ECU calibration software file update. If it already has the updated 5th injector then it is 4x new IART injectors and a calibration file update. The worst case senario is the DPNR unit has become damaged and that is replaced as well which is 4k. I mentioned earlier I have done many of these under warranty.

There is a button over the fuel flap release handle, you can see it at 5:50. You just hold the button pressed when parked and it will start to clean the filter itself and count down on the scale you could not remove in the speedo. If it starts the regen but stops shortly after it needs a software update at toyota for it to work. Engine is a 2.8 liter.

Yes the button would not work. Customer did try but it must have been locked due to the fault. This is a 2.4 I checked

5th injector port does block on these. Stops them from getting up to temp.

All this regulations are coursing more problems than those without this additional EU nonsense and Add Blue is pigs piss that gets injected into the exhaust system. Perhaps you can tell me as I am after a 3 Lit crew cab manual and prefer, the second gearstick for diff lock was wondering what year? Did Euro six cars came compliant and when they, decided to put in the electronic diff lock. Would you happen to know? I’m from UK 🇬🇧. Out of interest I was in the Philippines 🇵🇭 last May with family, one of my nieces work for Toyota as a sales person. I mentioned this EU pigs piss. Didn’t know anything about it. They’re all normal in the Philippines none of this BS they don’t have this problem😊 was interesting what you did to resolve the problem 👍
