I can't stop watching this video, every night after a few wines, i love listening to the SA accent, the music and cinameratogrogphy is brilliant. I drive a 2017 Sahara heavily modified (Aus) version and love it. I refer to it as a A380 of a 4wd, the cockpit, space and technology, what else would you have in remote touring in Australia like africa and have a luxury town car t the same time.

I have this King of Africa 200 and have traveled to Maremi & Chobe in Botswana Etosha in Namibia and Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park and Have covered 46000 km in one year without any mishaps other than a puncture. My only concern is that the dealers are not qualified to instruct you on the various drive train operations and the video does not indicate the selection of drive train when driving in the dunes or other land scapes I hope by my comments I will receive some feed back from ??? Australia has the largest and biggest sand dune dessert in the world, and the Gen 3 and 4 Mitsubishi Pajero outperformed every LandCruiser made there. One iconic sand dune known as Big Red is a huge problem for those LandCruiser tanks but not a problem for the Mitsubishi Pajero! Come over to the Simpson dessert in South Australia and we will see who is boss!

You can either get the manual or automatic transmission with the V6 4.0 when it comes to the gas engines, while the 2 gas V8 engines only comes with auto transmission which is probably why you feel that the automatic transmissions has more torque

You seem to be a Nissan fanboy. Landcruiser New model and Nissan Petrol Y62 both not good for real sand dune driving. Both 3ton weight vehicles and It drag a lot due to gravity on sand dunes. Compare to the body size vs Tire size ratio is not good enough for sand driving.. the result is more and more stuck in sand. The driver has to keep accelerating the vehicle on sand to avoid stuck. (Keeping the momentum) This manoeuvre is not practical where you cant see the other side of dunes. Also these vehicles fuel tank is smaller 400km -500km range which is crazy for V8 engine. In sand it need more fuel than roads .. result is your vehicle cant go much distance in desert. You must carry many extra fuel tanks. These are control videos to show off and marketing purpose. Consumers should never buy in to them. These giant new vehicles good for roads.. They are not true sand offroaders. Yeah agreed the jeep, safari and fj are best for the dunes.jeep is great but desert heat does make em break fast Safari has the most power but lets not forget its owned by result so reliability is a question mark. So if you still want to have a car that works after 250k miles go FJ if you don't mind the poor visibility.

+ashish atif haha mate I've seen that video (the base model 200 series against a mid range patrol) and I said the Sahara mate .. The base model is designed for farmers ,miners and police use .. And not to mention that they were rating it off the driving and not the 4x4'ing. I think you need some research mate .. The base model cost the same as the cheap ass patrol .. The Toyota Land Cruiser 200 series SAHARA is a $134 500.00 vehicle and has a lot more onboard 4x4 gadgets and a accessories. And if you weren't so biased and in denial you would know that but clearly your a your to stuck to the tow-ball of that soccer mums car to realise.
