Then it was my turn to put up a Christmas tree with lights in the instrument panel.
In the past I've got the: ABS - VSC TRC - VSC OFF - Car STAB lights.

But now it's the engine fault light that lit up first, then the rest came on.
Now I was more unsure! Unfortunately, this happened at a very bad time, so I didn't have time to check more. Now it is at home waiting for inspiration and time to search incorrectly.

Nå ble jeg mer usikker! Dessverre så skjedde dette på et meget dårlig tidspunkt, så jeg rakk ikke sjekke mer. Nå står den hjemme og venter på inspirasjon og tid til å feil søke.

A common problem with our cars seems to be that the instrument panel lights up like a Christmas tree! ABS -VSC TRC - VSC OFF - CAR STAB.
This can be so much, but it can also just be a trifle ...
Here's what you can check for first!
Always remember to bring extra fuses in the car, it can save you a lot of worries!

I think reading the codes will be the key - the engine light shows there is a stored code and the other lights are probably just on because the engine light is on. (Traction control etc shut down if any engine light). You say you have problems reading the codes - what code reader do you use? Do you have techstream? Alternatively did you try shorting the pins on the OBD connector and counting the flashes? Enjoy all your videos and good luck

Hello. Has several OBDII readers. Can't remember which one I tried when it didn't work. But I have BlueDriver, Carly and another cheap reader. I have to try again. I'm still struggling with the same problem! There are so many wrong options that you have to start with the easiest and cheapest options. It could be a wire break, which triggers all the errors, or there could still be a fault in a computer brain. I haven't had the time or the wherewithal to just put the car away at a workshop here in Norway. Here, the hourly rates are so high that it will be far too expensive for me. :(

When I drive the car, the problem suddenly occurs: VSC TRC VSC OFF and I press the diesel and the car does not start. Then I restart the car but nothing appears and it works normally.

Hello. It seems that the engine fault light comes on first, then the rest come on afterwards. Have put the car on charge, and will try to get codes read after the battery is fully charged. Greeting Pål (Paul)

Hi Pal. Are both batteries fully charged? Might be worth checking if car has been standing a while as this can cause electrical gremlins.

OK. I did some searching on forums for “LandCruiser Prado limp mode” and some had reported issues with the throttle position sensor. But agree with other comment that fault code reading is first priority. Good luck. Keep us posted

In our case it was the alternator. We had the same problem recently with our 2008 Land Cruiser J12, we kept taking it to the mechanic and he erased the error multiple times to drive it and see if it comes back and what triggers it. At one point, he kept erasing it and the 3 lights came on instantly after erasing the error. Then he said it was the alternator, he checked the charging of the batteties, there was no charging going on, we have beem running on the batteries alone. We changed the alternator, today we are picking up the car from the mechanic. There is no error anymore. This was our case. Good luck!

Hello. Yes there is a big problem with Toyota / Lexus wrong lamps. They come with way too much mix info. I had a very new alternator when this started. It charged well, but I read the wrong message after being. Things indicate that there is something with the Turbo control unit. Or now who is involved in controlling this. But as you say, a lot of people have got a lot of wrong lamps with bad dynamo, bad hanger contacts, etc. Thank you very much for the information! Greeting Pål (Paul)

Hello. It was new info. Toyota mixes together many error messages, so you can be deceived and the lights can mean too much. Here I got code P0045, when I was able to read the codes. But it has not yet been revealed what actually triggers this code. Greeting Pål (Paul)

Hello Paul! I have the same situation, exactly the same situation. I run the OBD and the error code is "P0045 - Turbo/ Super charger boost Control Solenoid Circuit / open". I have been doing research on this and the conclusion is, I have to change the turbo for sure (Part number on old turbo is 17201-30100 but it has been superseded by 17201-30161), along side the SCV (part number 294000-0380). The turbo is expensive. I will advice to not use the car for long drive, and run the OBD and hope not P0045 to appear. Also I think you should check your MAP sensor filter, if you see it has stains, it has to be changed, this is main issue with turbo failure, it is cheap but if not payed attention to, can break the turbo. This information took me a while to get and understand and hope this helps. Cheers

Good day! Thank you very much for the feedback! The hope is still that it could be a bug, such as vacuum leakage, sensor failure or the like... But as you say, it could also be the turbo. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten the car into the garage, and could start searching for faults yet. My e-Golf is sitting there, waiting for me to get in better shape, and can have the springs and wheel bearings changed on it. I'm crossing my fingers to hope for an affordable solution! But definetly check if the MAP sensor filter has oil stain on it

@@n.shyakajonathan9363 Then I got to know a bit more about the possibility of a tight MAP filter. I never thought there was a filter there! I see a lot of people find that the filter can crack, but mine looks tight and fine. I try with a cleaner with brake cleaner! Thank you very much for the info! @@bildillamagasin There is a garage called euro4x4parts in France, they also have a website and a youtube channel. I checked out the price for the filter, costs around 40 euros. I think the best is just to change it. I have the same issue as well. And someone told me he had the same issue and on his hiace 1KD 3.0D4D, he is a mechanic. He changed his Suction Control Valve part number of this part on my LC120 is 294000-0380. I am thinking of replacing that as well. I have realised those two (MAP filter and SVC) can make turbo failure. It is a bit confusing situation, however turbo is supposed to live as long as the engine.
