Little bit of different video so feel free to give any feedback on what you liked/didn't like. I know the sound wasn't that great, need to look into getting some body microphones rather then just the camera one. Cheers :) If you're keen to see more of Shad's cruiser you can check him out on: KZbin kzbin.info and Instagram instagram.com/shad_donaghue/?hl=en

Not a new a new concept for vids but your delivery is what makes it so much more enjoyable to watch. As someone that is working on their own rig and figuring out what works, its nice to see and hear from different owners about what they have and why. Also paused the vid to start following Shad on insta :)

Great vid Tyler. Have been following Shad's channel for some time and got to meet him and his son Ryan on a day run in the Barrington Tops while at the Drifta DFCE recently. Well set up 76 and does have a nice note. I'm a Patrol man myself but I like this vehicle and the way Shad has set it up. Very capable vehicle and Shad knows how to drive it. Enjoyed the change of pace with this vid 👍

You should consider doing more of these mate I think you do it better than Ronny (no offence to Ronny, you just have a more natural style and ask better questions and make better observations)

My dream off road build vehicle, though I would prefer a troopie. Add in a catch can, fuel doctor filter system, get the rear wheel track corrected by Marks 4WD’s with the portal axle & improved handbrake set up. If u have the $$$ to buy a LandCruiser there’s probably an extra $40-$50k when u total up all the extras. Bull bar, rear bar, dual battery set up, roof rack, rims & bigger tyres, etc etc
@TylerThompson905 жыл бұрын
Yeah for sure mate, if you got the money you can create the ultimate 4wd

Get a 50 cent diode and put it in the place of ALT S fuse and you can throw away your DC to DC charger away

Forget all the other brands, Diesel Dog are the best, when it comes to diesel filter systems. The filter elements are what Caterpillar use on all their heavy equipment motors. American made quality, so good Caterpillar even bought the company that manufacture the filter elements.

Good video Tyler What a shame Toyota does not make there vehicles perfect in the factory so one does not have to fix what can be a good vehicle at much extra expense And no aircon from factory what were they thinking $$$$ Cheers

So you spend around 70k on a track then have to spend another 20k just on mods and creature comforts i feel toyota have missed a trick with the 70 series as much as i like them
@shaddonaghue5 жыл бұрын
rudvs i know what your saying, but they sell so many so they probably think they don’t have to do anymore.
@adamposadas41635 жыл бұрын
@@shaddonaghue i know they aint perfect but am considering one too later on. You mentioned changing your suspension set up, what are you looking at and why?, just good to know. Also, have you upgraded your clutch,, i hear once you go for bigger tyres, or any engine/exhaust upgrades they really struggle.. I'll probably go for aroind a 2010 model, but figured it will go forever if its been looked after.. Cheers
@shaddonaghue5 жыл бұрын
adam posadas mate, still going on my original clutch, 33 inch tyres and a lot of towing, just need to not ride it. Suspension i am looking at getting parabolic springs in back with superior high clearance plates, i just keep getting hung up on my springs. I am going to do a video on the rear springs and see how much clearance i gain.
@longcorker5 жыл бұрын
Wish I had the money to do this.
@TylerThompson905 жыл бұрын
Yeah they don't sell them cheap haha
@outdoors53524 жыл бұрын
Look for a good condition GU Patrol or 100 Series Landcruiser with the 4.2 diesel. Half the price, and just as capable, with better flex because they have rear coils.
@Abu79295 жыл бұрын
I can't help liking these, but seriously... there's just so much wrong with them for the price. Live axle and yet nearly no flex, check out the end of the video. The shock mounts at the back and the leaves underneath the housing I'm surprised they can even drive in basic ruts, the narrow rear, it goes on and on. If I was inclined to waste my money on a second 4wd I'd still consider it though!
@TylerThompson905 жыл бұрын
Cheers mate, yeah definitely got a few problems here and there haha like every 4wd I guess.
