I jused a 3M Hybrid range sealer: 3M 50993 wet on wet seam sealer white and black. Under the sealant I used Caprotech RX5 Anti Rust to penetrate in between the panels and spot welds. RX5 has a kind of transparent light brown / amber like color. It penetrates rust and bonds with metal.

I follow what you're saying above with use of 3M wet on wet in both black and white. Can you elaborate on the two applications, and how you go about choosing where white sealant goes, and black as well? Maybe talk about the difference between the two products? Thanks a bunch - excellent attention to detail in your resto. Bravo!

Hi, the color is not that important; it gets (another) base coat over it. This 3M product is available as art. 50992 Wet on Wet Seam Sealer Black 290 ml cartridge, art. 50993 White sealer and art. 50994 Grey sealer. We used white on almost the entire car and than we ran out of it. I think I used 3 white cartridges and then I had to take a black one. 3M’s hybrid caulkable sealer offers productivity gains and a variety of colours if required (black, white and grey). It is supplied in a durable plastic cartridge with a dedicated nozzle. Like the multi-purpose product, this range can be painted over almost immediately, but may need to be abraded lightly with 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ if left for more than 24 hours.

pzj70 OK fantastic. I just wanted to make sure there was no difference between the two products, as your video was very detailed but there wasn't any dialogue to accompany it. Not a criticism - just is what it is. Great work!
