ECU viginized and bought 3 new keys, and cut two. When programming the first key, all was good, but when attempting to add the 2nd (&3rd) key, the light didn't stop blinking. I think this is why. My original master key wasn't turning off the immobilizer. I bought the keys had one cut and tossed magnetic Slug and it. No dice. Somewhere along the line I got the slugs mixed up so I am trying to do the erase all keys except the master key but the version I found on a locksmith site didn't work. Suggestions on the 03 RX300 mij

Instead of programming, just clone the key. I have a device called handy baby that can just clone your key.

Transponder portion: 1. Insert master key in ignition 2. Press gas pedal 5 times 3. Press brake pedal 6 times 4. Remove key from ignition 5. Insert new key into ignition 6. Press gas pedal once 7. Wait for the security light to stop blinking (60 sec) Remote portion: 1. Insert & remove key from ignition 2. Cycle locks 5 times 3. Close & open driver’s door 4. Cycle locks 5 times 5. Insert key into ignition 6. Turn the key to on (Do not start), to off (Locks cycle) 7. Hold lock & unlock buttons (1.5 sec) 8. Press & release the lock button (Locks cycle) 9. Close the door to exit programming mode

same thing here. Did you figure out how to program the locks? I managed to start the car with the new key, but it won't open or close the doors. The programming mode is active, the locks are cycling but in the end it just does not close the car. I don't know if it matters, but this is a 2002 Lexus IS, not a GS.

On some older cars you will find that your lock and unlock button is weak or won’t cycle 5 times. You can also use your key on the outside to do the lock and unlock process rather then pushing button 👍💪

I’m so used to using programmers I wasn’t even aware of the gas pedal trick. Most likely cause people NEVER CALL ME UNTIL THEY LOST ALLLLL IEYS LOL. I imagine you can not do this with all keys lost. But it’s a cool trick to know in emergency situation for sure

wont work on my gs, my rear driver side lock doesn't respond to any of the power unlocks, but only works with the thumb lock, my other locks just get tired after 3 cycles

THANK YOU !!! This procedure worked on my 2000 Lexus RX300. I was able to program two spare keys. You just need to be patient at the last step and wait for a minute or two for the security led to stop flashing.

I just wanted to start off by saying Love you man. Next. If one has the access to tech stream: Its so much easier to program a Lexus Key ( Non SmartKey Fob) Requires one master. Then you insert a used transponder non virginized or new cut key with remote/transponder ( FCC might need matching?) Then to program the remote features use TS again and you hold 2 buttons. All the required steps are within TS. Its so much easier than doing this little dance. I actually tried these steps once and failed and quit thinking about it for awhile. Took out TS one day and it was Soo much easier. If you drive a Lexus its well worth the investment. Can also customize your car to disable seatbelt chime and turn on/off DRL for some models.

This worked perfectly on my 2003 is300 the only thing that gave me a problem was connecting the remote everytime I did the unlock, lock step my electric lock switch on the drivers door would get stuck. So I had to do it manually with my hand while I pressed the unlock and lock button 5 times and after a couple of tries it worked 😂 I was so happy finally I can use the remote. And for this whole process of connecting the key and the remote Lexus wanted me to wait 2hrs and pay $120+

I get 250.00 and up for the remote head key ( NEW ONLY, not refurbbed ) AND programming, or two for 500.00 ( varies on some brand new vehicles ).. But the keys are cut by code, I supply the code number on the repair order, the PROX remotes come WITH the emergency key ...... may not be 30.00 off Ebay, but worth every penny for quality...... and a ncie savings over the dealer.

Matthew Farmakis - I got my key cut from an eBay service. For the self programming you would have to have a working master key. It should not matter where you got the key cut as long as the key turns. Also make sure what key chip it is. Sometimes that does matter.

2003 Lexus ES300 Remote Programming Have all transmitters for the vehicle at hand 1. With the key out of the ignition, unlock and open drivers door (all other doors must be closed) 2. Within 5 seconds, Insert the key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn it) and Pull key out. Insert the key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn it) and Pull key out. 3. Within 40 seconds, Close then open the drivers door. Close then open the drivers door. Insert the key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn it) and Pull key out. 4. Within 40 seconds. Close then open the drivers door. Close then open the drivers door. Insert the key into ignition and leave it in the ignition. Close the drivers door. Turn the ignition to ON then back to OFF (Do NOT Start or crank engine). Remove the key from the ignition. 5. Within 3 seconds, the power door locks should lock then unlock automatically indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1 if the door locks do not cycle at this point or try the alternate procedure listed below. 6. Within 40 second, A. Press the lock and unlock buttons on the remote simultaneously for 1.5 seconds. B. Immediately after letting go of the lock and unlock buttons, press and hold the lock button by itself. Within 10 seconds, the door locks should lock and then unlock once indicating successful programming. (If the door locks cycle twice, repeat steps A and B in step 6 as the remote was not accepted) Repeat steps A and B in step 6 for each new remote. 7. Open drivers door.

I was working on my 99 SC300 the other day and afterwards went to start it. It started up perfectly normal for a couple seconds then all of a sudden all dash lights appeared windshield wipers came on etc. So I shut it off. I tried turning it on again but no lights came on in the cluster and I didn't turn over at all. So I'm hoping I some how triggered my security immobilizer and not something worse electronic related. Wish me luck when I try this tomorrow.

This is a great video. I have a 2001 IS300 which I bought used and came with only a valet key. I ended up using a locksmith to use the new master key I bought from Ebay just like the one in this video. It was a success and the car starts.. But for months I've tried to program my remote to be able to have keyless entry and I can't get it to work. I don't know if it's my timing or what. When I use the unlock/lock switch it starts to slow down and die during the second set of cycling and eventually stop. As it's slowing down all the lock stop moving but you can still hear the weak sound of the switch. Do you have any suggestions? Please please please help. As I want this function to work. Please and thank you in advance.

I just got a 98 GS300 with only 1 masterkey. It works fine and I don't make a habit of losing keys but I'd like a spare just in case. I called a local locksmith and he told me the 98's are a nightmare to copy a key for and that if I buy an ebay key and try it like you did there is a really good chance I'll actually "brick" the ecu and likely end up dumping the car in a junkyard since having it all fixed properly would likely cost more than the car is worth. You definitely make this look super easy and I kinda feel like he was blowing smoke up my rear but I'm honestly not super well versed on these chip keys. I like my old cars that you can hit with a rock to start it. So he did effectively spook me some. The only reason I give him any credit is he didn't want to do it for me and referred me to another local place who basically told me the same thing. Do you think he was full of it? He said lexus did this to make it so you HAD to take it to them and spend a lot of money which really doesn't make sense because the kind of folks that bought these cars usually only keep them a few years and dump them anyway. Ultimately I'd rather just disable the transponder and remove it all outright so the car can just be easier to work with but if it keeps working I guess I can leave it alone. Have you ever heard of anyone "bricking" their ecu this way? I have a hard time believing toyota would design a system that was that easy to ruin.

+ShadowtheRotarygod Maybe they misunderstood that you have a master key, with that you can program additional keys. If you only had a valet key, then yea your dealer-bound. If you want to disable it, take the chip out of the key and mount it to the key receptor. Then make as many spare keys as you want.

I'm not sure why but everything worked as specified except after doing the door sequences when I inserted the key to the on position only once it didn't work. I had to turn the key to the on position twice and then the locks cycled. The rest was the same as your video which was excellent. Thanks.

Partly works with is300 key the starting immobiliser works. But the remote doesn't work I suspect it's something to do with the locking actuator because locks don't all work when cycling five times. Fyi I have 1998 GS 300. So I'm going to have to repair the door actuators.

Yes worn lock actuators would cause this to not work. Try manually cycling the lock

I have a 2001 GS 430, I can enter into program mode (Keyless entry) and get the remotes to cycle(2 of them), but when I close the door to exit the program mode, neither of the keys will operate the keyless entry actions. One of the keys is brand new and I have the original. They will start the car though....What do you think is the problem?

I’m currently still working on trying to get my Lexus RX300 out of Security/Anti-Theft mode. It’s amazing how many methods exist for resetting or programming Lexus keys and/or Security Systems. So far, none have been correct for my particular situation; but, I am the point I laugh at how apparently random some of the sequences are. I’m surprised I haven’t found any yet that stipulate you have to perform the programming task under a full-moon while standing on one leg, and toss a pinch of salt over your shoulder as the last step. But, I guess when you’re trying to program a computer and instead of a keyboard all you have to input signals with are the number of times you lock/unlock the door and open/close the driver’s door it’s somewhat understandable, although no less absurd. And, why doesn’t Lexus include this type of information in the owner’s manual for each model car? It would sure save a lot of searching and potential of getting a sequence out of order and possibly launching a missile or wiping out your onboard computer.

No, I just start it and drive, its still mechanically linked so it should still turn the wheels no matter the position of the steering wheel. But if you're smart about it, you could start the car, put on your seat belt, pop it in gear, turn on the stereo and by that time the steering should have adjusted before pulling off.

If one or more of the central door locks are not working properly or are stuck, the car will not enter programming mode. But there is a way to do it. Have a friend of yours manually open and close the door at the same time as you open and close it (I mean the 5 times). It will work. It worked for me with three doors that stuck. Some of them rarely stuck, but once they stuck once, the whole process was ruined.

Help 😌 I have a lexus gs300 year 2007 which is keyless, but has a manual key override, both my key fob batteries have been replaced, now they don't open or close the car, but the car can be accessed using the manual key, but also the electric folding mirrors dont open, and the cental locking doesn't function.

Great tutorial!! I have a 1998 Lexus SC 300 and I could not find a tutorial for the SC 300. Will your tutorial work for the 1998-2000 SC 300? I am waiting for my replacement key and I am doing research so I know what to do when it arrives. I do have the master key ( I hope this one is the master key, its the only one that came with the vehicle) Thank you for your time.

What am I missing here? I have tried these instructions several times and it just will not work. I got one of my key fobs to work for the doors but as for as the engine immobilizer, it just will not work. When I stick the new key in am I suppose to turn it? I don't think I'm suppose to. I paid ALL THE MONEY on these fobs, I live 3 hrs away from the Lexus dealer and had them send me 2 cut keys to the tune of well over $500. Why won't they work?

Just did the same in my GX470. To get the ignition keys to program, I first had to clear all old keys except the master key. The procedure to do this is the same, but 1 extra key insert & door open/close. Insert key 6 times and open/close door 7 to remove all but 1 key. Then the procedure in the video worked!

@@generalcaeser9176 Yes. Use the working key to clear the others. You don’t need the other keys. Once you clear them, you’ll be able to add new keys.

I saw a Bentley style flip key mod for the Lexus keys on a Lexus GS page and they linked your vids if customers needed reprogramming. It looks like a cool little upgrade/update. You should purchase one and do a vid on it. If you approved, I'd probably pick one up. They say you lose the ability to open the windows when you hold down the unlock button on the key and I think reprogram something to retain the trunk release function. I bet you could address those issues. Great channel btw. Obviously a very smart dude. Subscribed.

Thanks for the feedback. You need to program both the remote and the immobilizer key for it to work properly. Since the flip keys use the same electronics (you transfer the guts over) I don't see how it would be different than a regular key. The key in this video was an aftermarket key and it had no problem winding down the windows and opening the trunk.

Great information and well done performing it My question is that my Honda 2005 model, when pressing the unlock button it won’t work unless I grab the door handle and try to open it a couple of times while pressing the unlock button than it opens Now doing that on the drivers side won’t work I have to it on the front passenger door 😒 and thats how I open my car door for now Anyhow could you please help me on how I could fix this problem???? Ps I have changed the battery for the key and also cleaning the key press and hardware but still not fixed Any help would be a great burden off my shoulders THANKS

My car is 2003 Toyota Avalon XLS. I was told this model is Lexus in disguise (do not know which model of Lexus). I have only one working key. It does not have a dot punch (it is not master key I believe) and do not know this slave key can be used for this method. I need another replacement key programmed using this non-dot slave key. It'll work if your original is a master. Put key in ignition. If immobilizer light stops blinking immediately then it's a master. If it takes 2 seconds to stop blinking then it's a valet and you'll have to virginize the ECU.

I have a key that starts the car and works on all locks (doors, glovebox, trunk) but cannot get the remote to work no matter what I do. 2001 es300. I can get it into programming mode but it won't complete the process. Im thinking the max amount of keys might be at capacity ? Doing the on off with the key 2 times instead of one is supposed to program a new and erase all old but that won't work for me either. HELPPPP!!!

Can’t program the remote for some reason after the last step it cycles and then locks and unlocks but then when I try to open the trunk it starts cycling with the hazards on and trunk won’t open then when I close the door and end programing mode it won’t work at all.

Fixed it thanks, I did & still do have a front passenger actuator out still programed though started working out of nowhere, probably the ECU needed a little time lol, now I have code PO442 PO430 and PO156 tripping, engine is not firing up correctly & cranks forever at times, smh fml oh well, great info anyway dude you’re channels very informative thanks.

So use the Techstream video? Essentially wipe the old master key off the ECU and recreate a new one and have it snycd with my new cut master keys.

+Chris Winthrop You need a master key to program another one using techstream. If you use the "all keys lost" function in techstream you'll have to enter a code that the dealerships have access to. Checked the battery in the remote? Are you trying to unlock it with the key ignition or door open?

@@speedkar99so weird. Not sure what happened but it works now. Also weird, I gave the key to valet, and after getting the car back, key fob wouldn’t work. But after driving and turning off the car, and opening the door and hitting the lock button on the fob, it worked again. I feel like my car is always in programming mode or something because it works/doesn’t work after a certain sequence of events (maybe opening the door and then hitting a button while the door is still open 🤷🏻‍♂️).
