What an excellent and comprehensive explanation of a man with a huge knowledge that makes it understandable for a muggle like me! Since almost 2 years I own 2006 Subaru Legacy H6 with 5EAT and your effort helped me to understand and see what do I have inside my transmission and how exactly it works! Forgive me, I don't want to be greedy of your knowledge but I can't find good answer anywhere, I know it's hard to guess anyting just by few word and a video especially when we are at different places on Earth, but still maybe you will get some idea abut my 5EAT issue? Overall this transmission is perfect and I love driving it, but there is one problem in manual mode downshift 4->3 at specific speed with no gas, I recorded a video with data gathered using RomRaider: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y17MoX6MrbOMg9E The issue is described under the video. Do you have some idea what can cause this? "Clear Memory 2" and "Learning Control" helps a lot, I can surely say that the problem disappears but then the transmission every 2-3 rides lowers the Front Brake pressure to the level low enough for it to start jolting again, is it just a bad software? And what can I do abut this? I know it's not a big thing, I can just apply some gas and it works smooth, higher or lower speed - smooth too, but it shouldn't work this way, thank you in advance for any advice!

Wow, and this right here is why I can't buy one of these. Every single thing about this is dumb. I just bought a Mazda CX-5, and everything about it makes sense. Veey happy

The 2ZR-FE in the 2011-2013 Corolla I think is an excellent engine. My 2013 has 227,000 miles so far. The 2ZR-FXE in the Prius's on the other hand.... not so good.

Hello Sir, I have few questions please! I Imported a HONDA FIT 2020 EHEV HYBRID with a milage of 76,000 km from Japan. I wanted to change the Gear Oil fluid, but am confused about multiple things; - Which gear oil to use? HCF2 OR ATF DW1 - Are there any filters inside its gear which need to be cleaned or replaced by opening the chamber , or is its just drain and Refill? - Beside Engine oil, gear oil, brake oil, coolant, is there any other fluid/oil which need to be replaced after specific millage? Thanks in Advance Sir!

Not often you see a Subaru 5EAT taken apart. I wished they ran a 4.111FD instead. I also wished Subaru put the VTD center diff as standar across the model line up. It's a much better AWD system. Your average non-car person wouldn't know the difference between the multiplate transfer clutch VS this VTD center diff. Awesome video!

What oil would you recommended for a 14 grand cherokee with 104k miles that has ran the recommended thin conventional oil from the previous owner? Thanks in advance. As soon as i saw how thin the oil is i knew it was not right

How can I clean the top of the piston of carbon deposits? Should I? Can I do it by spraying something through the air intake butterfly? What about putting nitrogen through it? It apparently cleans it out but I’ve heard mixed reviews about it.

Won't an issue with the hose (like a crack) or the motor mount cracking cause a vacuum leak issue with the engine? Kind of like causing a lean condition at idle?

Except for the ones made in Japan. I got one 2008 Rav and guess what? The piston rings were made in Japan where they made micrometric errors and still not burning oil. It runs like a baby! 5w30 pemzoil high mileage syntetic..
