It took us three tries to map the transponder, it could be that we didn’t follow the directions well but in the third try, success!!!! It took us two tries to map the remote. Worked perfectly on an after market key. I also bought an actual Lexus transponder key (no remote). That one required a scan tool to program for some reason. It wouldn't program with this method. However the aftermarket one worked like a charm. (I used the xtool D7. It worked perfectly for an '03 Lexus es300)

Question, I have the replacement keys. 1512V-4C, FCC ID 2AOVX-T4. Model# 2AOVX-3BT. After placing my working key in the ignition, 5/gas & 6/brakes, removing the working key and inserting replacement key - transponder/security light does NOT flash rapidly as it does in your video. possibly bad batteries ..autozone sells bad battery and yes anything below 3.0 is already low! they should last about a year

Great tutorial! Any tips on a key that only works for a couple of weeks and then stops working? A friend got a new key from Lexus and programmed by them and it stopped working. A local auto shop “cleared the codes” to get it working again and a few days later it stopped working again. The original key continues to work (but the fob is broken which is why she got a new key). Try using a generic chip .. did you make one with a superchip?? Also your key my be a valet key and not a master key that might be the issue .. try cloning his key

Ouch no im afraid when you lose the key you have to reflash the ecu... via eeprom..:((( send your ecu or immobiliser unit to get reflashed .. or they can send you a key alreadyy matched with the ecu :-///

Hey thanks the first step worked great and saved me from having to go to the dealership or any other joker out there charging a butt load of money. So now my 2001 Lexus IS300 has 2 new keys. I have a question and wondering what it is that wont let my car do the second step of programming to allow the new fob unlock and lock my car. I have followed the steps 4 times with no luck. Any advice is greatly appreciated

Try this !! 1. Start with key out of ignition, drivers door is open all others closed and drivers door is unlocked. 2. Insert key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn) and Pull key out. 3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds. A. Using the power lock switch on the drivers door, perform 5 lock/unlock cycles starting with lock. Use an even pace and try to go about one cycle per second. (1Cycle = 1 lock and 1 unlock). B. Close, then open drivers door. 4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds. A. Using the power lock switch on the drivers door, perform 5 lock/unlock cycles starting with lock. Use an even pace and try to go about one cycle per second.(1Cycle = 1 lock and 1 unlock). B. Insert the key in the ignition cylinder. C. Turn the ignition to ON (Do NOT Start) then back to OFF. D. Remove the key from the ignition. 5. Press any button on remote for a minimum of 1 second. System should now lock and unlock doors once. 6. Close and open drivers door. 7. Press any button on remote for a minimum of 1 second. System should now lock and unlock doors. Once to confirm programming, twice to indicate programming failed. 8. Repeat steps 5, 6 and 7 for additional remotes.

Try this for the remote portion 1. Start with key out of ignition, drivers door is open all others closed and drivers door is unlocked. 2. Insert key into the ignition (Do NOT Turn) and Pull key out. 3. Perform these steps within 40 seconds. A. Using the power lock switch on the drivers door, perform 5 lock/unlock cycles starting with lock. Use an even pace and try to go about one cycle per second. (1Cycle = 1 lock and 1 unlock). B. Close, then open drivers door. 4. Perform these steps within 40 seconds. A. Using the power lock switch on the drivers door, perform 5 lock/unlock cycles starting with lock. Use an even pace and try to go about one cycle per second.(1Cycle = 1 lock and 1 unlock). B. Insert the key in the ignition cylinder. C. Turn the ignition to ON (Do NOT Start) then back to OFF. D. Remove the key from the ignition. 5. Press any button on remote for a minimum of 1 second. System should now lock and unlock doors once. 6. Close and open drivers door. 7. Press any button on remote for a minimum of 1 second. System should now lock and unlock doors. Once to confirm programming, twice to indicate programming failed. 8. Repeat steps 5, 6 and 7 for additional remotes.
