Im in discussions with a car dealer here in New Zealand for a tourer V Chaser and youve just basically completely sold me on it haha. I already knew I wanted one but your comparisons to other cars I like has me convinced.

Really good commentary. I've owned an Aristo TT and was trying to decide between one of these or a JZS161 Aristo, you may have just convinced me towards a JZX100.

I want a jzx90 mark II and jzx100 Mark II mainly for the body and cool aftermarket... But I already have two mx83s currently. Tough call because the mx83s automatic seatbelts are unrivaled in coolness factor. I find the mx83 a bit sleeker and arguably more of a race car once the modding is completed but the jzx90 and 100 are the last two of a great era that appears will never be back in automotive history. May end up picking some automatic small engine ones up then customizing them if I get the time to.

Yes I do, but they're very different cars. I really dig the styling of the Silvia, but even at $8000 they feel like such a cheap car, and poorly built. I do enjoy the segment of car that the Silvia fits in, but having owned two of them, I never really felt like the steering feel was all that nice (overboosted and vague). Also SR20 vs 1JZ isn't even close, the JZ is worlds smoother sounding, feeling, and doesn't give the impression that it could grenade any time soon. The Silvia is fun, but with the current prices, a BRZ is a much much nicer feeling car, both in terms of steering quality, and overall build quality.

@@fpsColton Thanks for that bit of info, I was looking for an S13/S14 for a while but the sky-high prices makes me think it's not worth it. I found a Mark II Tourer V automatic for a price less than a Q's S14, now I just need to get a day off work!

Ronald McDonald I’d do the Mark II Tourer V over a Silvia Q any day of the week. Even over a K tbh, just feels like you’re getting so much more car for the money.

What's the difference between 'Mark II Tourer V' and 'Chaser Tourer V'? I've tried to find results of a Mark II Tourer V but i only get results of the Chaser.

Filatuss it's a different model car, Mark II is the model, tourer v is the trim. The chaser and Mark ii share the same platform but have different exterior styling. All body panels are different.
