We had a Bundera when I was a kid. Would love to have one of my own one day, but it's unlikely to happen. Every time I get in a 70 series I'm reminded of it! What really sticks in my head is the suspension in the seats ours had. You'd turn a handle to set your weight and it'd adjust for you, but i was a skinny little kid and never quite weighed enough to make it useful.

Annoys me when people call them cars 2, and SU fn Vs. if it has mileage like a truck here we call it RUCs for those that don’t know, road user charge’s) if it has a commercial designation regardless of engine type, other than a van, then its a truck no matter the size. You are paying using the same system as designated by Land Transport, however Tonka is apt though and I’d agree with that. Only Aussie’s would have a Bundy of so many variants wtf lol, we just had 74/75/76s SWB LWB, I can only understand Al Bundy, still very cool you guys these and show us them, i’m just teasing about the rest and pretty envious actually, plus a chick that has 2 has to be pretty dam bonza, choice! go you good thing, pse show them ripping around in next vid, like a bit of grass tearing up and donutting in the bush🤙 Ps I did learn allot this morning thanku.👻

Thanks guys for a nostalgic video. I bought a new Bundera petrol in 1992 absolutely loved it charcoal metallic paint, pin stripes were a killer though. Should of got a matt paint for the bush. Good video for me. I have a Japanese imported 70 Prado in the UK. The Bundy looks so similar, same suspension and engine. Maybe do a comparison if you find one. Oh, yes, they come with an Auto, so it will be possible to put an Auto in yours using factory parts. It's a four speed with overdrive, which really helps the little 2.4. If you need any info on part numbers, let me know.

My dad bought a BJ73 mid-wheel base brand new in 1985 and I've own it since 2005. :) Everytime something breaks or stops working I get excited about how i'm going to make it better. I replaced the 3B engine with a 13BT and got 30% more power with 25% better fuel economy! There's a Nakamichi front end and a huge 15" JBL sub with four 6 1/2" JBL's in the rear and of course the very much needed brake booster upgrade! One thing I find frustrating is the lack of reference to the BJ73, BJ74 and the RJ70 Bundy in part listings. They seem to always start from 75. :(

Yes, the bj70/71- shortys and the bj73/74 middies, have the same dimensions from the A pillar forward as the 75/79 utes so you can easily fit a 4.2 6 in you just have to cut off the engine mounts and move them to suit the 6.

I presume you're in the States? If you can get a diesel, do so -- the fuel-economy of the 1 PZ is phenomenal for a LandCruiser.
